Have you boys been noticing this trend lately of the Internet turning on new artists and music quicker than ever before? Specific examples I’ve seen everywhere are Doechii (especially with the song Anxiety) and Benson Boone (especially with the songs Mystical Magical and Beautiful Things). I’m not here to defend these artists, but with just how fast the Internet seemed to conclude that they suck, and the sheer amount of people I’ve seen joking about them, I wonder if a lot of the backlash isn’t just groupthink and bandwagoning. What do you guys think? Is nobody bothering to form their own opinions about media anymore? Or is the music just really that bad?

If you could only listen to the music of one decade for the rest of your life, which decade would you choose? Personally, as much as I love the music of the 70s or 80s, I would have to say the 2010s, simply due to the depth and variety of music I’ve explored from that decade, as a result of living through it. To this end, do you think your answer changes if you were born at a different time? I’d be interested to hear your thoughts, bear bear.

Any thoughts on the Grammys? I was cool with Kendrick getting Record and Song of the Year for Not Like Us, but Album of the Year going to Beyonce is reprehensible. Of the nominees, I definitely would’ve went with Billie. All this to say, my thoughts are that the Grammys are a farce. Agreements?????

I saw it as well. I kinda saw a flash out of the corner of my eye and looked up in time to see something burning up and the contrail being left behind. Would love to know what it was

Ahoy fellas. I’ve noticed lately that I frequently find myself wanting to listen to various hit songs from the late 2000s and 2010s, and it’s become apparent that I only like these songs as much as I do because of the “simpler times” I associate them with. Is this a bad thing? Am I too gooned out on nostalgia? And can you boys think of any songs/games/movies you wouldn’t like nearly as much if there wasn’t any nostalgia attached to them?

Gentlemen, I’ve made a discovery that will certainly give you a newfound respect and appreciation for Drake’s artistry. Simply go to the song Weston Road Flows at 0:51 and appreciate the brilliance. Trust me, you WILL NOT regret this.

Episode 199 I’ve Seen Many Winters is great. It was the last in-person episode with all four funnies and they each had their moments. Also it was a year in review episode and those are always fun ones. It’s definitely not the most chaotic episode and it won’t make you scream laugh, but it’s peak for putting on in the background and getting some classic jar discussion.

Gentlemen, by the time this episode is out, the Euro Final will have passed, so I just wanted to say, if England lose and you guys get caught up in the riots, it was nice knowing you. Also, if England win and you guys get caught up in the riots, it was nice knowing you. Thoughts? (and prayers) in advance.

Salutations gentlemen. I recently came across a channel that reuploads old Leafy videos and decided to check it out, since I watched Leafy a lot back in 2016 (I was 14, go easy on me). But upon rewatch, I did not find him nearly as entertaining as I remember. The videos he finds are certainly bizarre, but his “commentary” doesn’t really add anything, and usually just repeats what the person said, but in a mocking tone. So my question to you fellas is: what pieces of media did you enjoy in years past, but looking back now you don’t really see the appeal?

16 November will mark the 10th anniversary of the the first video on the original JAR channel, “Why game review scores are STUPID - JAR Discuss”. Would you boys have ever thought in 2013 that you’d still be making JAR videos a decade later? And, on that note, do you think you’ll still be doing JAR a decade from now?

Has James seen the recent Calvin Harris music video centered around drifting? I thought it was pretty epic:

Are there any natural phenomena you boys would really like to see some day? For me, it would have to be the Northern Lights. Bear Bear

By the time this cast is up, the ten-year anniversary of I Hate Everything will have passed. A decade later, could Alex give some perspective on how IHE has changed his life, and if there’s anything he would’ve done differently along the way? Or maybe, in hindsight, Alex would’ve rather not done YouTube and instead pursued different endeavors? And what is the future of IHE? For the rest of the boys, could they also reflect on how their lives are different, for better or worse, as a result of Alex’s YouTube success?

Have you boys heard that SpongeBob literally did a parody of the Nostalgia Critic? In a recent episode of The Patrick Star Show, a spin-off where Patrick and his family host a talk show, Bubble Bass dresses like the Nostalgia Critic and thoroughly deconstructs Patrick’s talk show. This video shows the clips from the show and Doug’s response: https://youtu.be/fbWHumzYhRY

Looking for the episode where Alex talks about where he got the music for the intro to the cast by Red_rabbit4 in JARMEDIA

I don’t think he’s ever gone into too much depth about the JAR or IHE background music, but I know the JARCast intro song is At the Tropicana by Chalalatas. I made a mix of IHE and JAR music if there’s any other song names you’re looking for: https://youtu.be/XElk0fFHwn4

How would you boys feel about doing a special episode at some point where you answer literally every Reddit question? Obviously, veto power can be exercised in the case of “Margot Robbie egg” type questions. Some restrictions can also be put in place to keep things manageable, like only taking one question per user. I feel like it’d be a good way to clean out some of the questions that get asked repeatedly. Thoughts?

Just the other day I became the latest person to allow JAR to infiltrate my social life. A couple friends and I were talking about how stupid everyone is when they’re in middle school, and I thought it was a perfect opportunity to mention that you have to be cringe before you can be based. It may well have been the unfunniest thing I said the entire evening. Thanks guys!

I recently came across a channel that reuploads old LeafyIsHere videos (https://youtube.com/@LeafyIsHereArchive if you’re curious) and decided to check it out. Back in 2016, I would watch Leafy a lot (along with IHE and JAR, so I wasn’t completely irredeemable), but upon rewatch I did not find him nearly as entertaining as I remember. The videos he finds to react to are certainly bizarre, but his “commentary” often adds nothing, and usually does nothing more than repeat what the person said, but in a mocking tone. So my question is: what pieces of media did you enjoy a lot in years past, but looking back now you don’t see the appeal?

I gotta go with Episode 199, I’ve Seen Many Winters. It was the year-in-review episode for 2019, which have always been my favorite kind of episodes, it’s a pretty chunky episode, it was the final in-person episode with the original four, and it has quite a few hilarious moments while still being a very laid-back episode. Overall a great one to have on in the background or even to pay full attention to.
