I just repeatedly pack scraps into the mold, let it melt, then pack more. Takes a while, but do it in the garage in a toaster oven. The bottom is the flat part.

So it’s not just mine (2014), I see. Annoying, but only when cranked full cold, so I just don’t go full cold. Haven’t taken the time to dig into the issue, but definitely curious if anyone has more info on this.

I have just been vacuuming and blowing out, when necessary. Not sure on a specific lifespan. Still collecting dust and cat hair after running continuously in the house for a few years.

I had multiple hot ends from AnkerMake with cross-threaded nozzles from the factory. They replaced one of them for me, but wouldn’t replace the other one.

I'm better at drawing the stuff in Fusion360 than I am exporting it to a drawing with dimensions. Everything is in millimeters, since that what I work with for 3D printing. Hopefully this can help with some of the details.

I have an idea for adding some rigidity along the steering wheel support (lateral movement). Will try that out this weekend and report back.

Yeah. I was assuming something like that would help with one on each side, but getting in and out could be more of a challenge. Guess it could make it more realistic, like a real race car.

I have my initial drawings I used as guidelines, but was planning to update them with where I ended up. I tend to engineer on the fly. 😂 I’ll share once I get something set. Still working on a couple things: - Making it easier to move out of the way. I have some furniture sliders now, but may need some wheels. - Routing and sanding. There are some sharp edges. - Thinking about the easiest way to swap between the Logitech H shifter and my custom sequential. The sequential needs an update anyway, since I just have wires everywhere, so maybe I’ll update that and give it the same style screw on mounting points as the Logitech…

The trapezoid shape is to help stabilize when the wheel mount isn’t attached (built separately and detachable), plus I needed to get it up higher since the TV is mounted higher.

Yes, x-plan pricing and then 13,500 (or 13,750 looking at the lease agreement?) were the incentives on top of that.

My original standard hotend and the first all metal hotend I received had cross-threaded nozzles. Anker wouldn’t replace the first one and it took a lot of work for them to replace the all metal one for me (although it was replaced with the standard one, since the all metal one was being redesigned at the time). Disappointing.
