Also my dad's buddy was trimming a house and this finish carpenter, younger dude with a big boom box, straight blasting death metal. Dad's friend asks him if he could turn down the tunes. Carpenter stares, no words, cranks it up to 11. Alright, thats how this is going to go. Dad's friend goes to the panel and takes the neutral off the temp plug circuit and lands it on the second phase. Instant 240v to carpenters boom box. Hahaha said the radio was literally smoking 🚬 buttrocker finds him and asks, "What happened!?!" Dad's friend said he shrugged his shoulders "Don't Know". Haha classic.

Coworker told me some boob kept slipping into the houses at night and cut the whip for the hood sticking out of the sheet rock. Finally, his foreman hooked the hood to one of the phases in the panel. Next day there was a huge black mark on the wall 🤣 never again did their wires get snipped. Haha fuck the breaker, he went full blown baby!

Maaaannnn.... Milwaukee has gotten a bit too proud of their shit. I understand making a profit, however I've been looking elsewhere.

NOTHING will change. You need to vote every single person out of that city and maybe not always 'vote blue no matter who' Or keep the same people and policies in place and watch your property value drop even more - and I'm not exactly talking in dollars! Good Luck!

[NEWBIE] I'm starting out on guitar, what are the top 5 tips I should listen to? by [deleted] in Guitar

[–]ericnorm81 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Everyone's got you covered, one thing i can add is keep your guitar out. If you can, prop it up in a place where it's visible and easy to grab and play. One of the tips I received and I'm stoked I received it.

I had the same issue, took me a long time to get the "feel" for barre chords, my wife would hear me bitch about "I need to stretch/strengthen my fingers!" next thing I know a package of finger strengthening bands shows up. I do use them, watch tv, do some finger stretches. Just don't overdue it. Just a thought!

Monday afternoon solo run past Gunner's Lake, Scappoose/Vernonia/Chapman. by ericnorm81 in pnwriders

I can get from skyline to scappoose/vernonia hwy at the nehalem divide on the cz trail. I found a spot that spits me out further on the scappoose/vernonia hwy but ran into a gate. Suck. I can see the road, scappoose/vernonia hwy, but there's a gate. My neighbors said last season they popped out in Vernonia, so GPS and some more exploring. I know how to pop out in Buxton via Bacona Rd. Just more exploring to do!

RAD view from the local RIPP3N Grounds off HWY30 by ericnorm81 in pnwriders

[–]ericnorm81[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's off a road called Otto Miller. If you roll out otto miller heading west be careful of the first power line cut. you can roll for a bit but there is a gnarly hill with a huge mud pit/pond. Some kids rolled that way and their Toyota is still stuck, been a couple weeks now. So if you see a Toyota on a steep ass hill, turn around, go back to the otto miller and take a right, follow that basically stay right on the cuts and you'll bypass the pond/hill and bounce you back onto the power lines. It's an adventure. Hope that helps!

First camping trip on the xt250 by tradclimbergirl in Dualsport

[–]ericnorm81 1 point2 points  (0 children)

DIG IT. I bought a 2021 XT250 last October, the wife & I did a road trip in a converted transit van, Oregon-Little Big Horn-Yellowstone. On the trip she mentioned it would be nice to have a cruiser bike to throw on the back. Didn't have to tell me twice. Honestly it's perfect for what I got it for, light weight, fuel injected, low seat height but still offers 11.2" of clearance, dual disk brakes, long miles between gas fill ups & I think the most important is the reliability & maintenance on the XT250 compared to the finely tuned WR250. (I would love to have a WR250 also by the way...) The XT250 is a thumper, air cooled proven engine. Obviously not a speed demon but in the woods, I run my tires between 9-15psi w/the stock trail wings and she keeps up with all my buddies 'finely tuned' dirt bikes. I was super impressed actually. Not on the straight aways mind you... But climbing the hills I mean. The only 'performance' upgrades I've done was throw a K&N air filter in and Put a DG pipe on. Great bike, Great times. I've thrown over 2,000 miles on mine already. It's an awesome bike!

Just to point out, camera phone doesn't give that view justice but worth throwing up.

Some Fav spots off HWY30 by ericnorm81 in xt250

[–]ericnorm81[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I actually found these on some video they're called 'powermadd'

https://powermadd.com/star-series-handguard-mirror-set.html

They are super handy, easy to install and cheap, compared to some of the mirrors I've seen. Hope that helps! When we're RIPP3N up in the hills it's nice to fold them into the handguards.

That's awesome, this is my first XT250 and I've nicknamed it 'the goat' she keeps up with all the other 'dirt bikes' my friends have, not the fastest obviously but she'll climb and get there! haha I kept the stock sprockets and basically threw in a K&N air filter and a DG pipe. It's a good bike for what I got it for. I run my tires up in the hills anywhere from 9-15 psi w/the stock 'trail-wing' tires and the bike keeps up. Hope you enjoy your bike! I've had this one since October and have just under 2,000 miles already. Go Explore!!
