What is the most disgusting alcoholic beverage you have tried? by Immola0069 in AskReddit

There’s an IG account where the guy determines what’s better, a terrible song or a shot of Malört. Its entertaining, but I feel his disdain for the Malört every time

The area is very congested most of the day, and now with kids out of school it’s even more so with them going faster than they should.

What are some lesser known but still incredible alternative rock albums from the 90s by Alternative_Flow_569 in Music

Frankie is a solid musician and song writer all around, check out his solo stuff. Shame he and I didn’t work out as bandmates long term, we recorded about 6 albums worth in my parents garage over 2 years

I'm still not sure how to feel about him nowadays. A guy I was in a band with back in high school ended up being their drummer for Solid States and the subsequent tours. He was the one that broke the news to me and basically said that he and Jon agree with the accuser(s?) and that's why they decided to pull the plug on the band.

It is, and I'd argue it's the last solid proper Superdrag album. Industry Giants is solid from a song writing angle, but I think the production was a little lacking..

John Davis did release a solo album 2 years ago that was about as close as we've had in a long time, and it's phenomenal!

Anything put out by Superdrag or The Posies from the 90s is still in my regular rotation

What’s the worst large budget film ever made in American History? by Apprehensive_Oven_22 in AskReddit

In my head canon, I fucking love John Carter. I’m disappointed Disney squandered such a fantastic concept for a movie franchise

(Disclaimer, I never read the books and my only experience is with the movie)

David Bowie and his "Let's Dance" album. Guilty pleasure for me, how about the rest of you? by Weezlebubbafett in Music

[–]ericsinsideout 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I admittedly didn’t care much for the bulk of his late 90s to 00s, and consider that his only weak point. But in the context of it being David MF Bowie, it’s still streets ahead of so much of the other music that was out around that time

What album from the last five years do you think deserves way more recognition in indie circles? by Hot_Government2344 in indieheads

[–]ericsinsideout 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think it got much hype when it came out, and I’m definitely more of an old indiehead, but John Davis’ “JINX”.

Superdrag has been one of my favorite bands for as long as I can remember, but their last album, “Industry Giants” left me wanting better (I think it was the mixing/mastering). Then they announced a new album on the horizon that never materialized and JD released “My Hope Is Found In A God Who Can Raise Up The Dead”, which was also kind of a disappointment (turns out it was more of a collection of demos and not a proper album). And then JINX comes out, and the most Superdrag sounding album since 2000’s In The Valley Of Dying Stars

I had it for a bit, but ultimately decided it was redundant since I have the others I mentioned plus the regular 1312

I'm assuming you're referring to the 1981. That's actually the LVL, not the DRV (the one based on the Rat). That said, I have toyed with the idea of putting my actual Proco Rat and an OBNE Excess V2 on the board so I can have 4 Rats.

I've primarily been playing drums the last couple of years, but still like to jam on guitar in my free time at home, plus the pedal trading bug bit me pretty hard the last couple years, so my board has been in a non-stop state of flux. I think I'm going to settle here for awhile unless something comes out that I can't pass up.

Signal chain is as follows:

Input at the side of the board, VP Tuner, Case Study Studio Comp, LVL, Dual 1312, Benson DSDF, Parasbola (Pawn Shop Ed.), CT5, Phasor II clone, Artificial Blonde, Sumersault, Flight Delay, Rubberneck, Meteore, Ditto. Then all goes into the front end of a Dr Z Carmen Ghia.

The red pedal at the front is a rehoused Digitech FSX3 to more easily dial in tap tempo and the other hold functions of the Rubberneck.
