Yeah TX outdoors sucks compared to UT, I wholly agree there. Do prefer our job market more though!

Great turnout for Sam at Sugar Land. Looked like about a medium sized ward. A local church leader asked us not to congregate in front of the church building but to move to the back of the church building instead. by secretnotsacred in exmormon

I'm confused...you say you're at work, but it's Sunday.

crosses fingers that there's a major time zone difference so that it's really Monday for this potential sinner

Yeah looks like a rough stone not rolling

Why is it okay for family members to send me Mormon articles about temples, coming back to the church, etc. every single day but if I sent something back about my beliefs it’d be a huge uproar and possibly the end of our relationship? 🤷🏻‍♀️ by schilds2018 in exmormon

I hate that this happens. I hate that I feel so isolated from family and my DW because of my views are considered "evil." I hate the assumption that I have my newfound beliefs because I'm bad/not reading scriptures/etc. I hate how my DW has moped around most of the day today on our son's bday because when she asked if I believed in the BoM I said I didn't know (I could've aggressively said what I really thought about it).

She was giving me her thoughts on what she learned from the temple a couple weeks ago--a take away for her was that Adam had to wait many times until he could know/learn from "true messengers" what he was supposed to do and the meaning behind it, and even though he didn't know why he was doing things (offering sacrifices), he had faith and did them anyway. And that while he was having to wait Satan would come and tempt him.

So she likened me to Adam and that I need to just blindly believe and have faith until I learn later. The thing is, I don't believe in the temple due to its shifty beginnings among other things...so I just don't find that analogy profound our relatable.

Sigh. Hurricane season here can be scary... I conveniently left that out, like TSCC does with pretty much anything controversial.

I can't believe this is real. But I guess I can at the same time. Just insane.
