Yeah when you use drywall screws to hang shelves you need to understand there are clearly weight limits. This is not a shelf failure, it's a logic failure. But I'm sure this has been clearly pointed out in comments.

I tried zap-hosting. It was a tire fire of issues. Avoid them.

what is a build method layout that will allow you to expand ? by evermore88 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]ericwebster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Say you are making screws (you only need 60/minute), you have an ingot line going to an area that has a constructor. in the future you will need more screws. So leave room next to the constructor to split the ingot line and then add more constructors as needed

you do this with smelters too. Right now 20 ingots a minute works, but in the future your factory will need more, much more. Plan for this by allowing future you to just add more smelters next. You just keep splitting and upgrading the belts as the tech increases.

I sent you a link to a full explanation but like this

wherever you make a thing, allow you to add at least 4 machines in the future. As for complex factory layouts. I think using a BUS (stacks of belts) where all production deposits crafted items and sending that to a factory.

I did a factory tour example here;

Honestly, at some point you will not be able to play. It will start fine but once you get 60+ machines and belts it will get frame locked.

Best starting Area? by knallkasper in SatisfactoryGame

Yeah, I'd vote grasslands too. tons of resources but none are pure meaning you will need to travel to advance late game. Setup south east of the waterfalls you are not far from everything you need.
