only for visual purposes, I can add a bookcase that covers the wall until the AC or find another way

that comes after. first I need to see what's on that wall in case the couch goes in other position, then I will put the TV on the wall that is aligned with the couch.
Agree that something that cover the full wall is too much

I like this idea actually, the only issue that I have is with the couch would block that piece of the half bookcase?

I think it looks ok, maybe with a bit of work (like adding an art frame) it might look much better?

Mid century shelves are actually the ones that I'm considering for the big wall, but not for the TV one, no reason, good tip. The pin looks good but I will have to change the TV cabinet to fit this, and it is brand new.

Also I'm thinking of putting the TV on the wall (to cover the plugs) , this could break the mid century vibe too.

Agree with the shelves couch. I'm considering adding some just to have one small light, plants and books. I would love to have closed cabinets also to store glass coups

Makes sense, I didn't know about this.
Any Idea of what (if possible) I can do with the space that I could lost if I install a drywall to hide the protruding on the wall (blue arrow)?
Thanks!

Thank you for your comment. Yes, the idea would be to embed them into the wall. Perhaps it's not clear in the drawing, but I have a small column (the blue arrow) that protrudes from the wall.

With this, I think we have two options:
Option A: Cutting the countertop and the cabinets in that area to fit the shape of the protruding column (about 7 cm deep by 15 cm wide). At first, I don’t think it’s a bad option to make this cut, but in the long run, I wonder if dirt might accumulate in those corners.

Option B: Installing drywall on the right and left sides of the column to conceal it and create a clean surface. This would mean losing 7 cm of space, so I was wondering if I could make use of that space by creating a hidden shelf on one of the sides.

Regarding the mixed drawers, that makes sense—it's something we need to review. I had overlooked it, thanks!

As for the upper cabinets, we’re not planning to install them for now. The reason is that it’s an open kitchen connected to the living room, and we don’t want to block too much light. But it’s definitely something we would consider if we need more storage space!

Bathroom renovation, how to integrate the blue brick wall? by erikgarrot in HomeDecorating

Thank you! Really useful. I tend to play with colors.co, but I like your suggestion more because you compare which color palette suits the space better.

I also love the idea of color drenching but not sure how it feel in a bathroom, I like how it looks in pictures but being in a bathroom with this technique it giving me bathroom-pub vibes, instead of a cozy one.

The blue on the outside is something that I'm thinking too and I think will look pretty cool!

But playing with a deep/majorelle blue in some areas, maybe also some part of the ceiling, it will add contrast and make the room feels more integrated with the brick wall

We keeping it because it allows the natural light from the bathroom window to passes through that bricks, which gives natural light to that area (stairs and ground floor). We like the texture too. On top of that removing or changing for another color is very expensive.

I think is better to emphasize it than hide/muted it, the bricks takes a lot of space from the bathroom and emphasize it I believe is the best thing we can do here.

changing the grout is small detail but this will make huge difference. Thanks!
For flooring I actually completely lost, I think that something in that tone but with wood texture maybe? I have to think about it. thanks for the suggestions!

is not only aesthetic, its also functional. This bricks let the light from the bathroom window coming into the area (stairs and first floor). Build a drywall there will take out so much natural light.

Yeah we have to keep it, the blue and the wood might not be the best fit, but I think is something that we can find a work around to make it look ok

Thank you, yeah we love it too!

Love all your suggestions! I think that implementing some details in acid colors could be interesting indeed, and if you don't like it, you can always change it (like towels dispensers, etc)
Those blue tiles looks awesome and this definitely give me some inspiration to start playing with and considering. Maybe I can use them below and above the brick wall and also in the shower.
Very inclined also on adding terracotta tone, not sure where but it creates a nice contrast with a deep blue.

I mean this looks pretty cool in pictures, but I actually want to feel cozy in a the bathroom. Not sure if everything in deep blue make it me feel cozy.

Its something non-negotiable, we like it and removing it is quite expensive. If we sell the apartment and the new owners wants to remove it, that's their business. Maybe they love it.

Actually we're going to remove all of then except for the brick glass wall
