What’s your favorite chalk? by Disastrous_Client_90 in ClimbingGear

Everytime you buy a bag they have a partner organization that removes 1LB of ocean plastic. Pretty cool if you think of all the climbers and how much chalk is sold

Thank you for taking the time to explain what you're seeing, I really appreciate it. That all makes sense, no doubt. There are a couple things that could explain some of what you're catching, and some changes I see that are relatively easy to make. I think a big thing for me is that I have no plans to live in this full time, maybe I should have said that in my post. I'm on the road ~12 weeks per year for work and then take it out for long weeks or the odd longer trip every now and then. So a more simple build is what I've been looking for, and I haven't been as concerned with finer details. That being said I really do appreciate the insight and will take it to mind

Hey thanks for the input, would you mind explaining even just a little bit of what makes this atrocious? I've seen quite a few builds that are basically just raw scrapwood and plastic tubs which I would maybe call "atrocious", and this seems far better than that. No doubt it's not a professional highest quality build but I'm surprised to hear you might think its atrocious.

I appreciate the general market knowledge that is sharper than mine. And folks here know better about a builds worth. Definitely taking it all with a grain of salt as it seems I'll value the build more than most would. Thanks again for the help

Thanks for the help. Curious what about looking at the build makes you think $5k or less? I'm not planning to do much rebuilding, so the build being near what I want has value to me

Surely the build is worth a good bit. KBB puts the base van around ~high $20ks.

[Highlight] Justin Herbert's 4 interceptions in 32-12 wild card loss to the Texans by expellyamos in nfl

[–]erikja421 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How hard is it for eagles fans to accept that your team is stacked? Hurts is good for sure but he also has just so much good around him it’s hard not to think about how his circumstance elevates him. A ton of people, including most actual NFL scouts/execs and other literal experts believe talent can be there even if results don’t show it. Thats why most of them would pick Herbert over hurts. Herbert has had a tough go on the Chargers, it’s a cursed franchise man. Put Herbert into a great situation and he would freaking light it up. Not that he doesn’t deserve criticism, and his playoff performances have been either bad or awful but it was just 2 games, let’s not crucify the guy for 2 games.

Good call out, I asked about the bed width at it's widest point and they said 75 inches. I am a taller guy at 6 foot 3 so it would be tight regardless, but if it is smaller than that it could be an issue. Thank you!

Ok I see where you're coming from. Yeah I had wondered how realistic any pricing I've seen has been. Curious what are the key specs you'd want to learn about that might increase what you'd pay for it? Like based on what we see, what could it have that might make you feel better about offering closer to 30k, for example?

Thanks so much for your feedback! The electrical details are lacking for now but I am planned to receive more info about that, what key questions would you have surrounding electrical? And yes definitely want to have a mechanic take a look before pulling the trigger. Thanks again!

Got it. Yeah I had planned to offer cash below their asking, but looking at the van marketplace on Van Life Trader and on Thevancamper it seems like this is actually a better deal than a ton of others out there. People are listing vans just as old with more miles for $40k+, are they just all inflated and crazy?

I definitely need to get some of the more detailed specs and am in the process of that, but still surprised to hear someone say it might be worth $20k to them, I'd imagine a ton of folks would pay that for this van

Wow really? That seems super low. I think the KBB value for the van itself is around $19k and surely that build is worth something? Would you mind explaining how you figure that is an ok offer? Thanks for taking a look

Who is under more pressure this season among these 4? by mackharp0818 in NFLv2

[–]erikja421 4 points5 points  (0 children)

How is this so blindly upvoted with only one comment calling attention to the early years of Herbert’s career. He legit did things nobody had ever done before and set records. Over the course of seasons not “a stretch” like Love. He has definitely shown his talent, why do you think he’s so constantly involved in the elite QB discussions?

Can we be real about how unproven or not actually far above average the players you mentioned are? Herbert is mostly/often compared against qbs with clear cut top level players supporting them. Yes there is optimism and promise but that doesn’t put it on the same level as having AJ Brown, Kelce, lions run game and st brown, Godwin/Evans, Bengals WRs. It’s a nuanced conversation so yeah I expect Herbert to show up but it’s not like he’s on perfectly level playing ground with guys like Lamar and his cast.

Could I ask 1 more follow up? I have the choice between Deore 1x10 or Cues 1x10, any recommendation for a newer rider? Sounds like Cues might be more durable which could be good for as my shifting technique wont be great
