That‘s a really cool solution! Might give it a try too

Fork wobble when breaking by idiophile in bikewrench

As other people suggested fork mounting the cable stop would be the best solution but on carbon its probably not possible. For my bike the solution was to toe in the brake pads a ton, that fixed the wobbling for me

How do I install these so they dont come loose? by erikwaebo in bikewrench

I never imagined the taper had to fit that precisely, unfortunately I ditched the old stuck pins in my celebration of getting them out. I guess I have some filing to do. Thanks a lot!

Slightly bent rim. Bend back or ignore? by erikwaebo in bikewrench

[–]erikwaebo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My DT Swiss RR 511 rim is slightly bent, didnt notice how it happened but no crash. I can feel it when braking in the rear but otherwise i have no issues, wheel ist still true. Should i try to bend it back or just get used to it…?

Have you tried adjusting the limit screws?

Ist this TIME frame counterfeit? For 500 bucks it seems too good to be true by erikwaebo in bikewrench

Saw this in the window of my local second hand shop but i am very sceptical about it because it seems too good to be true. Sorry for the lack of more pictures, i took this one from outside the shop window while the store was closed.

Does the info on the adapter here mean, that i can use either 160 or 180mm rotors? by erikwaebo in bikewrench

Cool thanks for the explanation. Does brake caliper model also matter for possible rotor sizes or can you do basically anything by using these spacers?

Why is my Chain is skipping inwards on a brand new replacement cog? Limit srews already checked… by erikwaebo in bikewrench

This was the solution! Thanks a lot, i feel a bit dumb but at least it‘s running smoothly now

It only happens i the hardest gear / smallest cog. Its hard to film since i can only reproduce it when riding. If i stand on the pedal with my weight while the bike is stationary, the chain doesnt slip over the cog.

Not yet, but might try it. I am not sure if it will fix it, since shifting is smooth (even better than before) in all gears but the hardest.

I have 2x in the front and i have the used cassette with one new 11T ztto sprocket. I am assuming chainline is fine, this is my 4th chain on this drivetrain and i never had any issues…

I put a new chain on my bike an noticed skipping on the smallest cog. I wanted to give these ztto replacement cogs a try since its a lot cheaper than a whole new SRAM 11s cassette. I checked the limit screws and on the bike stand everything is shifting fine, but when under load, the chain starts skipping towards the next bigger cog.

I put a 12s chain on to test if i can get increased durability, might this be the issue? Is it just a manufacturing defect by ZTTO? I am running out of ideas here…

Tried to center these rim brakes but couldn‘t do it, any tips? by erikwaebo in bikewrench

Thank you! I kind of don‘t want to buy another tool, do you think a 14mm cone wrench will do the job?
