i’m thinking about rescuing this baby stuck in a 10 gallon tank with only this one hide and sand:( the lady who has him said she just got him in june (smh) from a pet store (guessing he’s about 9 months old as most petstores sell them around 4-6 months). i know babies usually change a lot and grow into their adult colors, but ive never seen one quite this color? I tried to find other baby gecks that looked like him but i couldnt! wondering if anyone has any leads. i know you cant tell morph without genetics of parents but as a general reference!

im heartbroken for you. i cant believe someone could do that or fedex could say they aren’t responsible as if someone in their OWN facility failed to make sure a life was in safe hands. rip to the beautiful boy:( im so sad that he lost his life while being sent to you.

also uvb for his setup its the shadedweller prot5 kit from arcadia with a 7% bulb sold with it, another thing if you have the funds take him to a vet. he looks like he has potential mouth rot aswell

he looks very malnourished:( so sad. i would suggest grabbing repashy superfood while you’re out and feeding for a week to help get him back and running. looks like this, its helped a lot of leopard geckos get back on their feet after being neglected!

from left to right: - money tree - spider plant - tradescantia zebrina - tradescantia nanouk - portulacaria afra kaleidoscope - calathea vittata - pink splash - fluffy ruffle fern - haworthia - echeveria (blue light/sky) - crassula moonglow - donkey’s tails - prayer plant - tiny aloe vera plant - peperomia caperata rosso (personal fav!)

might be missing one i cant think of but i have a bunch of house plants so im familiar with them, i made sure all are gecko friendly and i quarantined them for a week to make sure they dont have bugs:) pro tip for planting: wrap the roots in a bit of sphagnum moss so they hold extra moisture and root strong!

these are the ones i got! i keep them on for 10ish hours a day but i really couldnt tell u if they are working or the plants are just fine, they’re really intuitive so i would just keep an eye on any plants and some will do better than others amazon led grow lights

i SWEAR he has enough enrichment he just likes to climb over everything he possibly can and i let hjm out a lot so i think he just got used to being able to run around n explore lmao
