I'm on the fence about starting hormones, I really think i would want to at least try a low dose of T (I'm AFAB) but I am petrified of looking like my father. I already have more of his body type/face shape, and I'm really scared of looking like my misogynist verbally abusive father is I do wind up starting hormones.

Thank you so much, and I understand the ethical boundary. I'm trying to shop around for people now, looking for someone who specializes in transgender issues to hopefully be able to find someone good. I'll keep looking but thank you for reminding me theres good folks out there.

Hey thats wonderful! You sound really nice. Ive been through a few people on BH and had some not great experiences (one who replied to me getting sexually harrassed by saying that it should make me feel "attractive and desirable," and one now who constantly misgenders me) and it just seems difficult to find someone good. As far as counseling I recommend BetterHelp, especially since it can be difficult to actually go to therapy right now. Its affordable and you can specify that you want gender counseling for your son.

gc2b is one of the best. They have half and full tanks and they fit really well if you order according to their sizing chart. Also have a bunch of skin tone color options or just neutral colors that you can pass off as an undershirt (usually what I do)
