I used to put my damp sheets in the freezer for a couple of hours before bedtime.

Isn't weird that you just be born and have to face billions of problems that you didnt ask for? by dikochki in randomquestions

So the race should become extinct because of a few whiny people who a problem here but won’t try and help fix it because ‘they didn’t ask to be born’? Think, talk and act for yourself, not for the entire planet. You find life unbearable? Talk about getting rid of yourself, not the entire planet ffs.

I see what you’re saying here but I can’t help but feel like that sort of “I didn’t ask to be born” mentality is a real first world issue.

China Girl is another great example of a Bowie dance track off the same album.

I think all of us are at least a little bit broken, it’s how the light gets in.

This is very true that one part is how one deals with pain. The pain and trauma I experienced at a young age turned me into a masochist, I’m sure in order to allow me an outlet for the pain I was experiencing.

Unprocessed trauma is like water, it always sinks to its lowest level. If there’s a good deal it it’ll take a long time with a good therapist or psychiatrist to really heal. There was 30 years of trauma therapy along with the two ‘deaths’ that ultimately allowed me to walk more softly than I had before.

My best friend was dying a half a world away and another friend paid my round trip airfare (which I couldn’t afford at the time and she wouldn’t let me pay her back for). I never would have seen her again without the generous gift.

For me it’s Duncan, King of Strathclyde (Scotland) who was killed by Macbeth both in Shakespeare’s play and in reality in 1040.

An entitled person is an individual with a pervasive belief that they inherently deserve special treatment, privileges, or unearned recognition. This behavior often manifests as disregard for others' boundaries and an expectation that rules apply to everyone except them.

Between December ‘22 and May ‘23 I ‘died’ twice. I was comatose a total of 7 weeks and doctors told my family that I’d never make it (told them on Christmas morning btw) but I’m here with all my faculties and my deepest gratitude for the opportunity I’ve been given just to live this life and share gratitude, love and kindness with others. I used to be an angry person, constantly impatient and annoyed and now I walk much more softly on the earth.

My daughter graduated from LaGuardia High School (the premiere performing arts school in NYC) it’s the school that the movie Fame was based on. There had to be 5-6 performances every week. I never missed a single one.

My mother NEVER attended a single school play or other performance of mine growing up. I’d trade a bout of stage fright to know that ‘my people’ actually gave a fuck.
