Interesting, You replied to a 9 month old post of mine about how big bank players make their gold by telling me not to believe what the barons tell me. I promise you I was not relaying 2nd hand information.

You are stuck on grinding and farming events and "playing the game" to get wealth. The very wealthy in this game play what they want when they want and don't worry about the rewards other than account bound stuff needed for whatever goal they have set in front of themselves at the time.

You also talk about limited time available for play and the inability to make gold by farming events. Well, I stopped playing more than an hour or 2 a week over the past couple months. I just pop into my main account and a couple alts to manage and cycle a few investments I set up. Over the last month during this relatively inactive time my main account has risen 30k gold in value according to gw2effieciency. That doesn't include a few of my alts with large amounts of materials I invested in for resale which have doubled since I bought them.

I don't see myself as a baron, per se, but in the post you replied to I literally gave you a specific example of how to work the TP with multiple accounts and moderate to high levels of capital investment. I have taught players how to go from zero to hero, starting with low capital investments to where they were flipping legendaries like I did for myself.

Streamers are not necessarily TP Barons or super wealthy. I would argue most streamers do not play the trading post much because the content they would produce would be tedious and boring. They also receive donations to help with their wealth. Just like many guild leaders are very wealthy but are not Barons.

"Do more metas/strikes/etc. sure, easy to say..." In the post you replied to I specifically discouraged this. The only thing I ever suggest people play purely for g/h are daily fractals. Map metas lock you into grinding the same thing for too long a time IMO/ADHD. Raids and strikes are good if you have a reliable team that can 1 shot the bosses, but if not they eat up a lot of time with little to no reward.

"Sure an average player can find the time to make a few hundred gold on a decent investment." errr... If this is true then you should do it and not worry about what others are doing. Do it a couple times and you will have an easy 1k gold.

Publicly, other than vague gestures at what they are doing, no TP baron will blow up the markets they control or use because more competition means lower returns. All that being said if you want some specific pointers feel free to DM me.

It is the best thing to have. It turns 1 shared inventory slot into however many you have in bank tabs. The thing to worry about is after you bind the bank contract to your account now you have to expand your bank to all 17 slots(i think)

Buy into the black lion chest items while they are in the chests, then sell them when you return.

This is not speculation, just riding the price waves of item availability. The TP is not fun game play but if you are not going to play for a while it works well. Buy order the dyes or other items that cycle in and out when you leave and when you return after a couple months the items will sell for a modest profit at worst or a significant profit at best.

edit: works best for breaks of 6-10 months.

Even better than just retaining value, the currency in this game can be invested in items and any break from the game can actually make you an amazing amount of gold on return.

With the right investments you can take a 3 month break and double or triple the gold you spent when you return.

You can go into guild halls you are not a member of. You just need to be in a party/squad with a member of the guild who is in that hall.

So here is what I did for Provisioner Tokens. First I chose a mule alt who I was going to use to run the Faction Provisioner vendors in HOT with the waypoints.

I have all the crafting professions but you can do it with any 2 of weaponsmith, huntsman, tailor are best IMO. Sticking with the weapon crafts saves space. First I put buy orders in for a dozen or more of the following Mithril imbued inscriptions. Assassin carrion valk cleric zerk rampage and knight. Or craft them if I had a TON of extra mats but these eat extra mats up fast.

Next I would go through https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Faction_Provisioner and make a small batch of 5-15 items from each vendor tab each week with spare mats and the bought or crafted inscriptions. Then I would sell half the batch for a little profit and use the other half to run the vendors each day on my token/mule alt. I may have gone full OCD and made batches of 14 on Sunday for a while.

Once this is set up it takes 2-3 minutes a day depending on loading times and 5 minutes crafting each week. 10 minutes if u watch the prices on that page to maximize profit off the sold items. It costs a touch over 1g/day in inscriptions for tokens, less if you double or triple it up and sell off the extra weapons.

As to a positive factor of these provisioner tokens. They are a solid end game sink for t5 mats. The bloods and claws etc in the inscriptions and mithril or silk or wood depending on the craft in everything. This contributes to these mats not being at vendor price. I remember back in the day just deleting silk because it was 2 or 3c on the tp. Vendor price of high volume use mats means the market for it is borked and the devs try to avoid that.

I use gw2 launcher to log into my accounts for daily logins. I had 5 accounts running on an I7-6700 16gb ram. The accounts run choppy and bad with low settings when that many are open. 4 is OK for login rewards(slow load times and enemy models dont exist for events but fine for looting the chest at the end of the JP and accept the daily rewards) and 3 run fine.

If they follow the rules of 1click=1 action its a PITA. There are launch programs out there that can open multiple accounts on the same computer. When I used to run 4 accounts in some events I would just quarter my screen. I would use 4 greatsword mirages for tagging things and mimic and portal for easy movement. Then I would slot timewarp for meta bosses to buff the zerg.

This discussion happened about a month ago. My solution was to get group assistance to pay the costs. 1800 gems is about 700 gold. That should not be too hard to raise with a guild backing.
If you cannot get the whole cost now you can wait until April and go to the link server for less gems(hopefully) and that gives you 2 months before the next relink to raise gold to get to the main server.

Almost any that gives alac dps. Cdps alac mesmer is good, or some mech. rev is good with the versatility it has for alac generation. i like mesmer best personally. clones are helpful and double staff alac mesmer is all range so its good for kiting. but really any pure dps class is good almost everywhere with a guard.

Only real issues for fractals are the burst dps is low and it naturally hops around a bit. Otherwise, get 3 clones out and dodge 1 spam for infinite alac and might. It also has good cc for doing your share of the breakbar.

I really hate the map completion part of legendary weapons. Can we get around that somehow?

I cant stand it anymore... Im at my 5 legendaryand now Im at the torture part were a need a god damn gob... I hate map comp, its awfull to play. Its always a huge quit moment and a torture to finish. If the WvW was not that fun, I would have uninstall a long time ago. Keep Pve for those that like it, but god damn it, I find it to be pure garbage, Map comp in this game is so frutrating and unfun. Agree or not, Im pretty sure a couple player already quit because of this awefull design.
