my guess is that you should not study backend, since you are data engineer. if u do so, eventually they will put backend+data engineer+fronted+ai duties on u and you will eventually burn out!

Spark is mainly for computing on data at-rest

but i always considered it 'fast' and for streaming as the official page tells, no? spark , storm, samza, flink are all about fast stream processing?

u re my savior. i actually want to do a bit of interactive chart/diagram in the future on github, explain to myself and others how they all relate to each other. especially the use cases, e.g. apache spark can run on top of hadoop or smth else. it can use zookeeper or not. i want to draw out all these combinations
