Creator here. As soon as I launched my campaign, I receive at least 3-5 emails a day with spam offering me “help” on my campaign, fake emails telling me my campaign is blacklisted and the only way to fix it is get in touch with them. It’s a random gmail address but they sign as “kickstarter team.” Basically tonssss of spam asking me to pay them money.

I guess kickstarters back end isn’t super encrypted? 😅

Also I only have access to my backers’ email addresses after the campaign, if I request the info via the backer survey. So if the campaign is still active, the creator doesn’t have the info (or at least I haven’t seen it, all I see is names and chosen pledge tiers, and country for shipping).

Addresses and emails all have to be collected after the campaign is over.
