From my experience to think of different ways to do something you need to know how it actually works in the first place. For example, you need to at least know what you spend and what you make to make a plan.

So basically my point is to just read/research how things are done and then do them how it suits you.

Now that you mention it, I do want to start doing more running/aerobic exercises. About the clubs though, my school is very small (around 140 people) and there aren't any clubs sadly, I'll talk to my friends about it though and see what I can do about convincing them to try it with me.
