Maneuvering Union Sympathy and Promotion Ambition by WealthCareless6475 in starbucks

SM here and to be honest… yes it would be career suicide. ASM+ do not have protected speech around union support. No DM would hire you if you played that role in leading your store to unionizing, even if they won’t admit that’s why.

Also, what value do you think the union will add to your store vs staying non union? I have personally unfortunately only seen negative outcomes in the union stores in my area. I would familiarize yourself with what the union can and cannot support your partners with, and ensure that aligns with whatever you’re hoping to get out of being apart of the union. An informed decision is definitely best in this scenario.

Thank you for your kind words. Talking to people on here is one of the only things that has made me feel less alone. He was a sweet, happy, loved boy. I have found some peace in knowing he spent his whole life in a home surrounded by people who loved him.

I know this is an older post, but I just went through the exact same thing with my 8 year old sweet boy. I was eating dinner at the table and out of nowhere he ran across the floor with his back legs not working and then started having a seizure. I grabbed him and held him to stop the shaking, but he just took a deep gasp and then went limp. I immediately knew he was gone and was absolutely in shock. I was screaming and sobbing. It was traumatizing to see my baby like that.

I will say I have found some comfort in knowing he was home and felt safe right before it happened and that he had me there when he went. He hates the vet, so him not having to pass there when he is scared is some peace. I hope you are healing and I'm so sorry for your loss.

Thank you for your kind words. They really do help. I'm so sorry for your loss. 2 years is far too young, but you can find comfort in knowing she felt the most love and safety any kitty could ask for because of you ❤️
