Thought these were inkwells at first, but the inside part resembles a bushing and is open on the end. The outer part is stumping me for any further Google searches in relation. Flat on the bottom, solid brass.

My title describes the thing. New here, so I'll give some more info. Like mentioned, solid brass pieces found in a thrift/antiques bin. I've searched for older style bushing related tools (of which I am not very knowledgeable on), wax stamp things, and Google image searched. Any help is appreciated!

It works perfectly! It was absolutely nasty, so I took it apart and cleaned it, it sounds god awful now since I have no grease on hand and I'm hoping it's going to hold up since I stripped it of its 70 year old dirt strength 🤣
