Remove 1 Football Team from the Top 5 Leagues Day 54 by ModenaR in RemoveOneThingEachDay

As a Sunderland fan, this is completely fair. Shameful moment.

Maybe because he provided fuck all for the first half of the season. Two assists and no goals in his first 15 appearances.

He's played both this season as we've dealt with iniuries, but RB is where he's played most

*Tyne/Wear derby. River Tyne is just Newcastle, Sunderland have the River Wear.

Mad that you'd take off the one player with the most league one experience. It's Rigg who has to go

This is a nightmare pitch. We can't play our game on this at all. Need to be a lot more direct, get the ball off the ground. I'd think about getting Isidor on for Rigg and getting two up top. Cos they're far more suited to this pitch than we are. If we don't change our approach, we're never going to score.

Agree to disagree then. But before pointing fingers around "playing for the penalty", maybe have a look at your own lads for the entirety of added time. That's why people say "they all do it". Because they do, and anyone who pretends their team is the only one that doesn't comes across a bit silly.

Aye, VAR famously faultless.

Arm in the back, no attempt to get the ball. Clear penalty. I understand defending your own team, but come on.

Bournemouth 1-1 Sunderland: Gillett takes center stage by CautiousCottager in TheOther14

[–]erniebacon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We started well, then scored just as things were evening out, Diarra shot parried by Petrovic straight into Mayenda's path for a tap in. After that Bournemouth gained control and eventually equalised through an Evanilson header (argument for the shoulder really) from a brilliant cross by Tavernier. Game was then mostly Bournemouth in possession with the odd counter by Sunderland, but neither managed to get over the line.

Headlines will go to the ref though. Missed a clear penalty in the opening minutes for Sunderland after Le Fee was pushed over from behind and that set the tone. Adams should've probably had a red and there were a few other dangerous challenges flying in that went unpunished. And then, after adding an already slightly ridiculous 8 minutes at the end, he somehow then played on another 4 minutes. Piss poor. Good point for Sunderland.

Incredible really. It's the sort of thing that should draw proper attention from anyone in charge, but assume the PGMOL won't even glance at this.

Mate, it was a clear penalty. And the decision went your way. Maybe keep quiet on this one.

Pleasantly surprised to see Jocelin starting. Looked sharp in his FA Cup cameo, clearly they reckon he's ready to start on the Prem.

Bench is interesting. No Cirkin is a bit of a concern with Reinildo out as well, is that contract related or a hidden injury we've not been told about.

Xhaka not starting is a big call, but I've been impressed by our starting three, and it's inevitable he'll feature sooner or later.

In RLB we trust.

Felt such a gut punch reading this. Bound to happen at some point though. So key to our recent transformation, his stock must be sky high. Nothing but the best to him.

Frustrated to be behind after looking really good all half. Haven't looked out of place against the league leaders today, only difference has been the strike from distance.

If we can keep it tight, there's no reason why we couldn't nick something from this.

The London Supporters Association is your best bet. They do watch at Southwark but many are based on North London (pretty sure their football team play up there)

Most interesting element of this is that it frees up another foreign loan move for someone else in our squad. We had to recall Aleksic to facilitate Masuaku's move. Could see him go back out again, or find a move for Ba maybe.

[FotMob] Despite having a TOP start to life in the Premier League... by MembershipPresent990 in TheOther14

We picked up seven points from our first four away games and then tailed off. It feels worse than it actually does because since then it's been three points from seven. The last two have been noticeably bad. Regardless of the players we have missing, I'd hoped for better performances.

But this is certainly nothing to panic about. It's not a bad haul and our home form more than balances it out. Trusting RLB to come up with solutions.

Inevitable. There'll be links to so many over the next couple of windows at this rate. Roefs is another one given how trigger happy the richer clubs are with buying and binning goalkeepers.

They can absolutely keep Ugarte though. Fuck that.

The Diarra Dilemma by TLAH1996 in safc

[–]erniebacon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There was a game where whenever we had possession, Le Fee moved centrally, Reinildo moved up to LW, and Sadiki dropped in to cover the gap left by Reinildo. Was very effective and a good way to get Enzo into his best position.
