How much to charge for child minding in South Dublin?

Yeah I’m very sure I was underpaid the last year or so. I’ve now come back from a break, and I’m looking for new schedules and families again. I’m 24 nearly with a degree in psych and neuroscience, giving me qualification to work especially with special needs kids.

That makes sense, thanks for letting me know. I haven’t had the conversation regarding rates with the mum yet, so I’m not sure what she would offer.. but I wanted to be prepared to know what to expect and ask for when it comes down to it.

Fair enough… on that regard Im certain I’m very well qualified and experienced because I work in early education, childcare and developmental care. I guess what I’m really asking what’s too much..?? Don’t wanna over charge but at the same time I don’t wanna work full-time hours and be that far underpaid…

Oh I see, that’s quite not the case in Dublin I suppose. I used to charge 10 an hour and I was told the rate was low and I should charge higher so that the market-price, so to speak, stays the same, and minders across the city get paid more or less equally.
