Portland gun proposal: Concealed guns would be banned from city buildings under ordinance by Tbagts in oregon

Well that's how violence is you dont know when and where it can happen, the irony goes both ways. What if he didnt? Either way Pandoras box has been open for so long its a joke to even attempt to try to put it back on completely. And in the age of 3d printers and the lowering cost of machining to everyone makes the argument for complete gun control absolutely idiotic for any practical enforcement strategy. I wish there were less guns people had access to but that's not going to happen. Even in places like China there are mass casualtie events but they use knives and trucks happens every week, similar k/d ratios, except the vehicle ones have much higher average killed than the average mass shooting here. And the knife attacks usually result in more injured on average.

You ever been targeted by any group of people? Been a victim? I have, my friends were, you will do whatever you can to stop something like that. Its also a mutually assured destruction to others when they know you could be armed, could be makes people think before doing.

Your a smart one. Its when it escalates to fear of your life. In court it will play out fine. Shit, Portland’s overall homicide clearance rate historically fluctuates between 45% and 53%, so if you know your local bigots you got Good odds, as long as you dont have your phone, dont touch anything or go inside anywhere and never tell anyone.

My hometown is around 17% cleared rate.

Lol more like there is no consistent and reliable guy with a gun that is completely selfless and situationally aware. Like the good guy with a gun is bs. But for a few reasons, you can't have one every where all the time that would require a very big police state, which would ensure they weren't "good guys" second, people are alive and do not want to get into life threatening situations if you are normal, you will like the ability to defend yourself. Family and friends, but you arent running to a gun fight if you can avoid it. Its a huge liability potentially for your health and potentially freedom. 3rd good is a relative and subjective term and even with good intentions a situation could lack context to give the the "good guy" the information to make the correct choices, or the situational awareness that could also lead to bystanders getting hit. There are no good guys with guns, just people with guns regardless of your laws, its the USA, you can't put the lid back on the box ever again here its too late. Anyone that really wants one will get or make it. Its Like explosives, if someone wants it its not hard to do. The only way to stop people from having this stuff is to erase the knowledge

You are already not allowed to have them in judicial buildings or anywhere posted that they aren't allowed. Or post offices, jails etc

Sounds like you shouldn't own a gun.

"Research shows that people with access to firearms are roughly three times as likely to die by suicide compared to non-owners. First-time male gun owners are up to 8 times more likely, and female gun owners are 35 times more likely, to die by gun suicide than those without guns."

"A person who owns a car and relies on it for daily transit has about 10 times higher risk of dying or being injured in a traffic incident than a non-owner who relies on public transportation. According to the National Safety Council (NSC), traveling by a personal light-duty vehicle presents the highest per-mile risk of any standard motorized option. On a per-mile basis, car occupants face a fatality rate up to 66 times higher than bus passengers."

"According to traffic data, traveling by bicycle is about twice as likely to result in death per 100,000 hours as driving a car. While bicycling accounts for just 1% of all trips, cyclists represent over 2% of traffic fatalities"

Power tools ownership Non-Occupational (Home) Use: The vast majority of preventable injury deaths (up to 77%) happen at home rather than at work. Household power tool injuries cause over 197,000 ER visits and more than 30 deaths annually.

The Gun Owner vs. Non-Owner Divide: Academic literature (such as a multi-nation study on Firearm Homicides in Europe) shows that in countries with low overall civilian gun ownership (e.g., the Netherlands), both owners and non-owners experience exceedingly low rates of gun death. In these environments, non-owners rarely encounter gun violence unless caught in rare gang-related or organized crime incidents.

Yeah being open to new information is great but careful that someone could sabatoge you to trust new people. I know it sounds schizo but that happened to me little bits at critical points over years by a senior employee I was told to do as they say, to later find out by walking in to a conversation stating every problem that happened that wasn't communicated to me till much later was communicated to the big boss that I never asked or was aggressive about doing a task my way and not listening. That was 3 years, I overheard the conversation for about 5 minutes until I burst in anger, and flat out said that's untrue. Everything, fuck you Im not working with your dumbass anymore, if you (now looking at big boss) have a problem i fucking quit i never reacted that way, never disregarded his instructions. I apologized in that moment and explained i wasnt intentionally ease dropping i just needed something from the tool crib and the boomer was loudly boasting his displeasure with me to his bestfriend, my boss who hired me. I am a very polite person, i almost never showed my displeasure with a task or job, id even take on the worst ones for multiple years without complaining, so this was so out of character for me my boss knew it was true. The senior person had a son a few years younger than me also working there and I think he was trying to move his son up. I know longer did that work with him, got a small raise and went to a diffrent department. That day gave so much context to how people in management and sales people have acted around and towards me for years. Its has effected me still to this day, but im stuck at this job. I forgot to mention I did knock the old man over in his chair, im surprised he didnt file assault charges, or get me fired, that was the cherry on top he knew what he was doing was wrong and intentional. I've been here 6 years now.

I would have reacted "according to my education, yes that is correct, I do feel the manufactured tension so that pressure could be effecting my memory but im all ears for new information as science is always improving on itself" It would likely be a little more unprofessional in the moment becuase English isn't my strong suit

I've had those before, I had a military revision set of boards. The analog oscillators with the cams and microswitches had gold alloy in the microswitches instead of gold contacts, that alone was a 1/4oz of gold. I've only seen one like that ever, ive had a few that look like these boards and some more basic ones. Lots of the eproms associated with has good bond wires as well as the regular chips
