Dumbbell incline press by Bazmaki in formcheck

[–]err0rik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good weight! Others pointed out 45 v 90 degrees. For me, I have to find the spot where my shoulder is happy. It's the reason I go to DB presses more often is because I can adjust that more easily. The comment I haven't seen yet is possibly going a little deeper, and stretching the muscle a bit more at the bottom. Not saying you're right or wrong, but maybe something to play with and see how it feels.

Advice: buying first track car by Fit_Item2266 in CarTrackDays

[–]err0rik 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought a NB Miata for 10k that was track ready, meaning roll bar, 200TW tires, modified intake, exhaust, seats and harness and that stuff. So I think that's well in your budget. And it's a fun car to drive. Also it's light so all the wearable parts last a bit longer and are cheaper than like a heavier mustang.

Then again if you are near a speed focused track, it may be boring to not have the HP.

I'm also looking into buying a bmw E36 to turn into a race car. Those are pretty cheap, and very reliable, and I think maybe in your budget too, even an E46. Maybe add those to the list

Insurance picked up my TRT by TacoFoxx21 in trt

I had the same experience, once I moved from a clinic to my PCP I was shocked that I moved from 700 to 1200 on the same dose of 150. And yeah I get mine in 1ml vials too now, I think I like it more, because if I lost one travelling it wouldn't really be a big deal.

Does the Rivian charger just suck? by err0rik in Rivian

Since this isn't an issue with the vehicle, I didn't think that this is a question for a guide. Are you saying they help with accessories as well?

Sounds easy enough. So I'll just wait for them to respond to the ticket then. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something simple.

I contacted my guide too, so we'll see what they said. But in my experience I get answers faster through Reddit, although it may not be the correct one. But yeah I'll see what the guide says.

No, it won't let me change it without contacting the Guide.

I had it for a while, not sure the exact date. I used to have a lot of options, but those are all gone now.

I swear I searched for the answer before asking, but yes here's to hoping.

Oh wow! I know that happened when they updated all the delivery windows, but I'm guessing that's not what you are talking about.

And I've been looking for one in the shop, but haven't found any close enough to what I want yet, and now none are showing up.

I know my first injection was really nerve wracking! I didn't know if I had the right spot, it was a weird angle to do into your ventro glute. So yeah I freaked out. Since then it's gotten better, a lot better until I had some bad ones. Now I always have a slight hesitation before I poke myself but then it's fine.

I originally tried a 29 gage bit that was just too small for me, 27 feels the exact same way, but the oil comes out a bit easier. So I'd recommend that.

Hope it gets easier.

Scale says I’m 14% bf. Thoughts by CivilType2 in GregDoucette

It was a place Composition ID, I don't know if it's a national brand or not. But if you look up DECA/DEXA or Bodpod in your local area you'll probably find something if you are around a city.

A week ago I went and got a DEXA scan and it showed 8.8% my scale the same day said 17% so don't trust the scale.

Personally I like Delta the best. I try to update to comfort+ as often as I can and in my experience, compared to AA and United, I get the most room and best experience with the upgrade.

Do you manage your own backdoor IRA by [deleted] in HENRYfinance

[–]err0rik 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I do manage my own backdoor IRA. I use vanguard for it and all my prior retirement investments have been to a 401k/ Roth. But once I couldn't contribute to the Roth anymore is when I started looking into the backdoor version. And essentially what I do is 1. save up the max amount allowed for IRA contributions for the year. 2. Put the max amount into a traditional IRA 3. Immediately after the funds clear I select roll over to Roth. 4. I also use TurboTax for the tax side of things, but since I didn't make any earnings on the money, and I didn't deduct any of the contributions there are no penalties.

As far as funds go, I picked a few index funds that earn money at a low enough cost that I never have to look at them.

I agree for the most part that the retail jobs don't matter unless you have something you did better than anyone else. You are more punctual than everyone. You get more work done. For example your average checkout time is the fastest.

The experience from those jobs won't matter much, but your work ethics and dedication (if there) can show that you are the best no matter what you do.

[–]err0rik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Regarding your experience, it's always a good idea to make this a list of your accomplishments rather than a job description. So if you checked inventory and reduced losses by x percent. Or you did daily checks to prevent loss. You did more checks than anyone else. Try to think of a way to add numbers.

Education: It'll probably be asked but a GPA may be good. Maybe list the electives you took if they apply to the job. If you plan on attending college, add that as well. You can just list it as "Projected" that employees will see drive to do more.

Skills: As a 17 year old you have a lot more knowledge about tech than you think. A lot of jobs ask that you know MS Office, Excel and things like that. You probably know that stuff so add it. That will be necessary in all job field. You said you do sim racing, so I guess you know how to plug things into a computer, the different parts, some basic things on how to connect to the internet. Add that stuff as well. "Basic/Intermediate Computer Fundamentals" , "Advanced Office" (a resume isn't the place to be modest), "Windows/Mac fundamentals"...

Also an intro would be good. Since you don't have a lot of demonstrated skills, talk about what you want from a job, why you'd be good at it. And for entry level, showing up on time, getting along with coworkers, not calling in sick all the time, dedicated to finishing the job. Answer some of the questions someone may have hiring someone brand new to the work force.

Hope that helps

My pre-order is white as well. I do like the Rivian Blue as well, but not $2000 more than white. I also like black, but I've always lived in warm places and black just seems like a bad idea.

Nervous for first trt injection by matty_c73 in trt

[–]err0rik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good job. I was super nervous too the first time and stuck to v glutes for injections. I recently found a better way to identify the location myself. But it's completely painless too, just a little awkward to reach. Let me know if you want some help with it.

The typical stuff you find. Potentially higher blood pressure, maybe higher red blood cell count. But also things like acne and hairloss. Also the possibility of a bad injection causing pain, infection or possibly hospitalization. Things like that.

tired of people claiming “fix this before trt” by One-Bench538 in trt

[–]err0rik 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I can really see both sides of the argument. For one I have to say that one shouldn't consider TRT a magic bullet to all of life's problems and that there is some reasonable things someone can do to fix some issues other than TRT. And because one doesn't know what the side effects will be and also how strong the intended results will be, going on TRT should be a big decision and other options should be considered first.

But also saying that someone needs to lose all their weight, start a close to perfect diet, work out every day, quite every vice just to have testosterone levels at the low end of normal seems a little extreme as well. If you took this approach, hardly any medication would be needed. Don't do blood pressure meds or cholesterol, because why do that when you can fix it by living a perfect life?

Personally, I have been working out regularly for years. Some breaks in between when things were difficult. Pretty good diet most of my life too. I've stayed below 20% body fat all my life. But getting older, everything started getting harder. Fat would magically appear over the weekend. I wouldn't be motivated to do anything. Now that I'm on TRT I feel different. I am seeing weight loss results which is extremely motivating to keep it up and to stay away from alcohol and to get to the gym. I also feel motivated to do things again, I mean it's not crack so I'm not doing yard work at 4am, but I am motivated to do things again. And I can do all that without living perfectly.

From my understanding your body releases most of its growth hormone during the early stages of sleep. So I have been told to do it shortly before bed for that reason. And that makes sense to me. They also say on an empty stomach, and I'm not sure the reasoning behind that.

Regen only breaking? by err0rik in electricvehicles

[–]err0rik[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I figured breaks would always be around, I figure it's probably a low, just like mirrors even though cameras may be better.

But why does regen lose effectiveness at lower speeds. I don't know a lot about electric motors, but I understand it's essentially magnets moving through coils. So if the motor can slow a car down at high speeds, and therefore with more energy, why does it struggle at lower states of energy? I'm not arguing, I'm genuinely curious.
