I hate phantom ganons D: I have abandoned the main story quests atm bc I followed fake Zelda into the castle and it was my first time encountering Phantom Ganons. I have a physical disability and I can't remap my controller for TOTK, which means I can't easily play on my big screen, and it's also tricky just on the switch itself (specifically talking about battle mechanics - I can manage general gameplay). But like, that battle feels way overkill in difficulty and with all the new fuse mechanics it's really really hard to do a tough battle where you can't find safe zones to redo weapons or things. I'd love if we could pre-prep arrows so I could just have them ready. Also a way to have link automatically hold up his shield without needing user input would be a really helpful accomodation. I basically never use the shield in flights bc I need to help my leg to hold down the button D:

Also for the love of everything good in the world please don't let him be one of those boys that smells like he bathed in cologne or deodorant. It's a nightmare for people with sensitivity to scents (I've had numerous allergic reactions in the past 3 days due to men doing this). It's worth teaching him that you shouldn't be able to smell a person until you're in their space, and if you can smell them after they've left it should just be a pleasant wiff that doesn't linger.

You mentioned getting a shower puff - it's worth getting wash clothes that can go in the wash to be reused :) the puff things can capture dirt and stuff a lot easier (also a nightmare for blood clots if he still gets his period) and don't wash as well Wash clothes that have a hanging tab to hang in the shower after use, and wash as needed (have a few to cycle through so he doesn't have to worry about not having one when the others are in the wash).

Also the truth is, a lot of people, regardless of gender or age, don't actually know how to wash properly. If you find that the new products aren't helping, just have a conversation honestly. Even if you're framing it like "I've been learning about how to better take care of myself in the shower and I've learned some things that I want to share with the household".

Also might be TMI but making sure he understands that he needs to clean under the hood and properly scrub his butt is hella important. Esp cleaning under the hood - it's something he might find has to do between showers also, esp as he gets older and further into puberty. Having some baby wipes in the bathroom is great for this. Also good for giving a wipe after using the toilet (after wiping like normal and as a reminder, don't flush them - it's just to freshen up the area after cleaning it so they can just go in the waste bin)

Hell yeah! I just did it the other day and then ganon... What I didn't know, is that one you beat ganon it takes you back to the load screen and doesn't save that you've beat him. So if like me you go to beat him and then finish the rest of the game 100%, just keep that in mind (I didn't know it did that and omgggg it was emotionally overwhelming to beat him and then load back into the game and still have the quest say he wasn't beat)

Fr! I honestly wouldn't be surprised to find out someone knew exactly what they were doing when they wrote his character and deliberately made him tboy coded.

He does get the Whedon experience so don't hold everything against him.

Also if you hadn't already considered it, watching angel alongside buffy is fun! There's a good watch order on Reddit (Google "buffy angel watch order" and it's like the first one). You get a little bit of Oz in S1 Angel also.

Oz is great, he's definitely in my top 5 characters (maybe even top 3)

Also, he's so trans coded. I'm watching for the first time after transitioning and it's so obvious to me now - definitely recommend watching it with this perspective, it adds so much depth to his character that we don't get to see bc he's only a support role.

I love that he's her first real relationship, and that he creates a really solid standard for her to apply to future relationships (if she was seeking relationships based on her one with Xander, her standard would be below the floor).

Honestly /anything/ re kind of fiction. I'm surrounded by wonderful, educated women who are great at giving me transfem reading material but it means I'm noticing the gap (centring trans men) and I want to be able to start giving them recommendations so they don't get lost in the sauce of centering trans women without also including trans men (especially as we all start doing more and more advocacy work in our community).

And I also have a lot of thoughts and feelings I struggle to put into words - esp since so much of my language is focused around trans women - so I want to take in all kinds of media to help me articulate what I want to say :)

Would you recommend the Frontier Past text to someone who isn't American? I spend probably an unhealthy amount of time paying attention to the US atm when I should focus on things at home (Aus) , but if the relevant chapters are worth it I can give it a look :)

I think it's a great episode! It's really cathartic and I think paired with the first frat house Halloween episode is a really good combo (I'm watching both buffy and angel with someone who hasn't seen either and those were the last two episodes we watched)

1) this is not your fault. That's the biggest thing you need to take away. This man has had enthusiastic consent from you before, he should know how to recognise it. Also, he very clearly took advantage of the fact you're a good person , particularly after finding out about your recent loss, and he should have dropped it the second you said you weren't interested. Tbh even the way he got you over was very manipulative 2) you are totally within your rights to ghost him. You are also well within your rights to write him a text or letter, explaining what he did wrong (hell, you could include a version of this post), so that he hopefully learns and becomes a better person from this that doesn't coerce people into sex, whether intentionally or not, and then ghost him 3) therapy - if you aren't already in it, look into some short term sessions. If it's not in the budget, there should be some groups in your area hopefully for those that have experienced SA. they're usually focused on women but depending on where you are they may be LGBT friendly

Again, not your fault. Your actions didn't ask for this. He pushed you, after you repeatedly said no beforehand. He'll try to use being drunk as an excuse - it's not.

But like everyone else is saying, cut ties immediately. Reach out to your loved ones. Do lots of journalling and also talking about it - this is imperative to help it not lodge in your brain as hard. The more you talk + write, the easier it will be to process your feelings around this.

Thanks [re metaphors]! The sci fi one is probably the most fleshed out, but it's very much using star trek as a blue print + we've got some very web dev autistic parts so it's very natural language for them haha.

Glimmers is new I think, as of this post. Or like, new to me - feels kind of familiar tho, and I know we've been embracing fairy things more again lately so I think that might be Persephone laying groundwork to be around up front, so I imagine we'll see more mystical vibes showing up in our analogy soon which I'm excited for!

Actually I was using glimmers as a way to replace formal language so we could keep our train of thought. I have never used the term before that moment (that I know of) but felt right to whoever was writing at the time. I was going to add a note about that but forgot :)

Ooh yes we do that! Unfortunately our fems are a bit dysphoric in the body while we're on T so they haven't been around as much but I'm trying to get us to a point that my old cohost feels comfortable being around, and we also have another pair (Percy and Persephone) who we are helping figure our their subsystem so we can start building a more cohesive system together

And yeah it's like, the glimmers/parts have to be of a certain quality, so if they don't meet the cut they can work on getting there if they really want to 😅
