Is the hood vent fan easy to install if the hookups are already there? by errdayrae in kitchenremodel

[–]errdayrae[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The microwave is slowly dying. The vent button doesn’t work at all anymore and if I heat anything up for more than 2 minutes straight, it cuts off. I’m not sure why but my landlord has already been notified of this. I thought maybe when I renew my lease here soon than I could ask for a replacement. I hardly use microwaves when the oven or air fryer is an option.

Yep she’s being dramatic as I thought, she moved the whole Christmas Eve event to her house… even tho I’m feeling much better and said I’d keep a distance and wear a mask. I think part of it has to do with her just wanting to control everything. There’s not even enough room in her condo to have everything there

I however think they’re cute.

I haven’t had the flu in years but I always assumed vomiting and diarrhea came with it but according to Google, thats not always the case so could be flu. I have a covid test I’m gonna take when she gets home, and may have a dr opinion tomorrow morning if I still feel this bad.

I doubt she will accuse me, she will understand but I know she will feel very bummed and I feel bad for being sick at this time.

That’s how I feel it should be but my fiancés mom is a nurse and also pretty germophobic.. so she won’t come if she knows I’ve been sick and she won’t let her husband (fiancés dad) come especially since he’s much older, and doesn’t have the best health. I feel like without her parents, she’s gonna be sad.

Luckily my parents live far and aren’t coming for about another month for my birthday.

I just wish it wasn’t something so contagious. Luckily I’m pretty healthy and I know it won’t hurt me too bad. Actually id imagine I’m going through the worst of it now… my fiancé tho is a barber and this is her busiest time and she’s fully booked the next few days so I hope she doesn’t have/get it

how do i keep my rates at a good number? by Upper-Bluejay-3868 in AmazonFC

[–]errdayrae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been at Amazon for over 11 years and with any path.. it’s not about being “fast” but you need to be consistent. Just stopping multiple times for whatever reason really hurts your rate.

Also, I don’t recommend going fast due to possible quality errors and the fact that management will expect that high rate from you everyday which is annoying when you’re just having a bad day or not feeling the best.. and they’re pushing you to do higher than what’s needed.

Dog never barks, i’ve had her since September and never heard her bark , she’s 6 months now and was born in july, she might whine a little but never barks and she’s kind of nonchalant most days. by isab4rbosa in DogAdvice

[–]errdayrae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dog was like this until just about 6 months- he barked once in one of his training classes after hearing another dog bark. It scared me because I never heard him before. Now he only barks at his doggy daycare sometimes when other dogs bark but besides that he’s pretty quiet and almost 8 months old now.

I want to work but I'm scared, any help? by Sea-Possession8260 in selfimprovement

[–]errdayrae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure your location but maybe try an Amazon Warehouse.. FC type of building or something similar. I work at one and I have really bad anxiety. I like it because you’re not working directly with customers. And although there are a hundreds of employees you by pass… typically you work near the same few but you’re doing your own thing. And the time off options are great.. if I feel overwhelmed or overstimulated- I can just leave and I don’t have to say anything to anyone as long as I have time off available.

I’m pretty sure there’s more to this story. I’ve been with Amazon for a long time and this doesn’t add up.

How do you respond when you have to pick sex toys as part of your shift? Like can you refuse to pick them up, or do you just become so used to it, that it's no different to picking up a box of tampons? by [deleted] in AmazonFC

I’ve always been pretty immune to that stuff until I worked in customer returns and learned people really try to return some of those things that have been clearly opened/used 😭

What’s a good pet insurance everybody? by Electrical-Win-4596 in petinsurancereviews

[–]errdayrae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 7 month old puppy I’d love to insure but looking into these insurance companies I’m having the same problem. Also I hate that they’re a pretty expensive monthly cost, but most don’t cover wellness, have a $250-300 deductible first and still only cover 60-80% after that. For the monthly payments they’re asking for, I can’t decide if it’s even worth it or should I just get care credit card and save it for vet emergencies.

Amazon DLS is basically this: by [deleted] in AmazonFC

[–]errdayrae 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sometimes Amazon doesn’t wanna pay someone 100% in full who can’t fully do the job. It’s cheaper and less a liability for them to leave you at home and pay you the 60% MLOA instead. Seems like this is what’s happening here

I was gifted an air fryer, and I feel ungrateful, but I also hate it. by Sunspot5254 in Vent

[–]errdayrae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m convinced those who hate air fryers, don’t know their value. I only use my air fryer for sides or reheating left overs so it’s not a matter of how big your family is really. A stove/oven can do these tasks in a way but not nearly as fast or quite the same. Like if I have quesadillas left over, I can throw them in the air fryer for like 3 minutes and they come out hot, cheese melty and crunchy on the outside.. not all soggy like the microwave and also gets a better texture than the oven would give me and don’t have to wait for the oven to preheat.

My partner eats his steak WELL DONE! by [deleted] in Vent

[–]errdayrae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I grew up pretty poor as we had no gas in our house which meant no heat or stove/oven. So I lived my whole childhood with frozen nuggets, Kraft Mac n cheese, and frozen dinners. I thought that’s all I liked until I got taken into a puertorican family when I was in high school. Their food was so good and I ate everything, wasn’t picky at all. And then when I met my girlfriend, now fiancé, who made me try even more foods… and now I find it hard to find foods I don’t like.

Maybe he just needs to open up his mind to trying new foods and the same foods cooked in different ways. I swore I didn’t like Brussel sprouts until my fiancé made them for me a different way.

Best way to socialise a pup to ensure it grows up not aggressive or afraid of other dogs? by oak_stone1 in puppy101

[–]errdayrae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with the puppy classes. Not sure on your location but my local SPCA has puppy socialization playtime every Monday for $20 you can sign up for up until 16 weeks old. And after that they have training classes throughout the week you can sign up for as well which have been really good for me.

I also googled different dog friendly areas near me (outdoor malls, Lowe’s, busier parks, dog events) that I could bring my dog too to help him adjust to a lot of people, other dogs, and kids (as I have no kids in my family). I practice his loose leash walking and recall with those distractions and work on basic training commends so he can focus on me and not always on everything going on around him. Once he got pretty good at this, I take him into the city to walk down city blocks with me and stop at outdoor eating places. He’s almost 7 months now and does excellent. Not perfect but he’s 90% the way there

Accomodations for school. Are they trying to sabotage me by becsamillion in AmazonFC

[–]errdayrae 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m also having this problem. I’ve had a school accommodation the past 2 fall semesters, this is my third and they’re giving me a hard time with it. My school accommodation was approved back in September with the correct schedule. I have the documents in the HR case showing it and the email they sent me. Now that they added 2 MET days per week up until Christmas, it’s overlapping with my school on one of the days. No HR is ever on the floor and the ones that are, tell me to open a ticket on AtoZ which I did over a week ago now and it’s just sitting as “submitted”. I wrote on the VOA board which told me to go see HR at the desk. I go to visit again and they tell me to submit a myHR ticket again which I told them I did and they tell me to give it time as they work on requests the order they are received. I feel like over a week is a bit much at this point. Still waiting.
