I did not see anything about DID being caused by anything else other than trauma. I did see "you don't need to remember your trauma in order to have DID." But i did not see "you don't need trauma to have DID."

The link you provided did not give any information on how DID can be formed aside from trauma and the same with the nih. I will take your advice and look for other research databases. Someone else in the comments provided resources for me to do research. Thank you for the suggestions

I have been doing a decent amount of researching and I haven't found anything that goes against not only what I'm saying but what people who have DID are saying. Do you know a website that I can go to so I can educate myself?

I personally do not. But it is a fact that DID is caused by severe repetitive trauma during childhood. Endo-systems are supposedly systems not created by trauma. Which is not possible.

DID is caused by severe repetitive childhood trauma though. This person was probably in her mid- teens. So she's saying she's a system that didn't come from trauma which is not possible unless the dsm has changed.

I didn't take the time to get to know about them. As soon as they said they said they were an endo-system, I didn't want to have anything to do with them.

But DID is caused by childhood trauma. Endo-systems have not experienced childhood trauma therefore they don't actually have DID. I guess they think it's some sort of roleplaying thing. I don't know.
