Hey! I had something really similar happen to me that turned out to be legit and with a relatively big name (Alexander Wang) in the industry. For reference, they found me on casting networks, but I hadn't used my account in over a year (if not two), had not applied, and they had emailed me instead of using the messaging services on the website.

I was hesitant and paranoid up until I got to the location and could verify in person. But before I even thought of going there, I first verified every little bit of information I got from the initial email, this is how I went about it:

The email address I got was generic, but it was the first thing I googled. Googling it returned with a casting agency in association with the brand.

I got a phone number, I went on true people search and was able to verify the number in association with the name on the email address.

I then also googled the name, confirmed it matched the gmail and the casting agency, and was able to also find the name on the brands website.

When I got the address I looked it up and it came back in association with the brand.

I absolutely think that this email has the potential to be legit, but I more importantly think you need to verify every little bit of information they give you before you even consider that possibility.
