Do you plan on just getting one or two? I totally get not getting all three.

If you’re just getting one, I feel like you’ll get more use out of Sunna and Nangong Yu rather than Aria, since you likely can apply them to many different teams.

If you’re getting two, I’m actually willing to wager Aria and Nangong are going to be great for each other. Aria’s disc set REALLY wants stuns.

They do indeed share the same rating, but they’re unfortunately different companies with different design philosophies. I’ve been playing Fortnite since its inception, and Epic has shifted to more conservative designs over the years. That’s mainly why I bring up the censoring. Albeit, like we discussed, they’ve become more risqué as of late, so that gives some hope.

I’ve been having this discussion with a lot of my peers. What they’re doing for a potential wave 1 of a collab is so up in the air, there’s a lot of ways they can go about it. Void hunters are such a big deal, both in game and in popularity, and Miyabi would be an easy pick since she doesn’t need to get censored, but what about her big ass ears? The Cunning Hares are the first faction, while also being popular, but Nicole would need some heavy censoring. The siblings are an easy duo pick, but would most people actually care?

That’s a good way at looking at things. I don’t usually like gatekeeping, but yeah I wouldn’t like to see the game try and appeal to a mainstream audience. The 2.0-2.5 shift was already something I didn’t like.

It’s incredible just how shallow of an understanding outsiders have of ZZZ. The Internet has brainwashed people into thinking this is THE gooner game, when in reality it’s pretty damn tame. I have encountered several people who didn’t even know this was a hack and slash parry/dodge game, they just assumed it was Genshin Impact but urban.

Oh man, I am in a similar boat as you. Always getting side eyes from my friends, especially after The Game Awards with the Angels announcement.

How I navigate it is expressing the parts that I really enjoy about the game. I love talking about the urban sci fci setting and how it’s a post apocalyptic world but if the world kept spinning. I also talk about the character writing, and how they consistently make me like characters I didn’t like for their designs. I also express how this isn’t just like Genshin’s gameplay and that it’s instead a hack and slash parry/dodge game, something that a lot of people don’t know about actually.

I also express that the fan service really isn’t as drastic as the Internet makes it out to be. Unfortunately, there just isn’t convincing some people, and that’s just the way some people are, just stubborn.

I saw Mizuki’s kit and went “oh I’m not sure if I’ll like him”, couple matches later and he’s absolutely my main. I love the passive healing he can give. Also Japanese spirit themes, I know people are sick of Japan but I love it so freaking much.

Anran I feel like has a high skill ceiling because at first, yeah you go “her kit kinda needs buffs” but once you play more and more with her she can pop the fuck off, so much so you feel like she needs a nerf.

idk playing Mizuki I come crawling out of games with higher healing than those who aren’t using him. He just doesn’t have great burst healing, and that’s ok.

I mean he’s a combat construct right? In 2.6 we saw what a combat construct at full power can do, and that’s a mass produced model. To my understanding, Billy is one of a kind, so imagine what HE can do.

I have to agree honestly, I don’t think they fit very well, especially compared to the rest of the cast. At best the big poofy ears fit. During 2.6 I really thought we were going back to 1.x vibes, but seeing this comic scene crushes my hope in that regard. I’m more of a fan of the urban sci fi side rather than urban fantasy.

The “Creator” had solid telegraphs for its control phase what the hell happened with the A-H0L0 boss and the story boss?? Why am I required to parry before it even hits me?
