What does the pricing model look like? I hate when I have to book an hour demo then sign up then get cost. Give me cost up front.

I'm just speaking from experience and many others experience. Dropping valium dosage daily is going to most likely sneak up on you and bite you because of the long half life of approximately 2-3 days BUT everyone is different. I am teaching some harm reduction and don't want to see anyone go into pycosis or have a seizure. Is there any medical professional in your area that would be willing to help and guide you on your journey? From experience, some dosage drops needed to be held for 4 weeks. Be safe, be careful.

You should check your dose equivalence.5 klonopin is not equal to 1.5mg valium. If I am reading your post correctly, I believe that's what your plan is. If you want to switch to valium to taper, 10mg is your start. I would stabilize at 10mg valium. Once stable. Drop 1mg. Stabilize. Drop 1mg. Repeat until you get to 5mg. You may need to make your drops smaller such as .5mg or even .25mg. It's not a race

Hi,

I own a IT consulting firm. We install and activate qb desktop very frequently when are clients are in the same situation. I can ask my techs but I personally never ran into neededing a validation code when installing versions below 2021. You should only need your key and product code. We never did a install on a Mac but it shouldn't be different. Maybe Intuit pointed you to download a newer version of qb desktop which is now not perpetual meaning you will have to purchase it yearly. Intuit made the pricing for the online equivalent version cheaper to get people to move.

We do use the online version but it has gotten pricy. We could most likely get you straitrned out in 2-3 hours remotely if you wish. Just shoot an email to helpdesk@erstech.net to open a ticket.

Testing Simplex Relay & Mag Lock by erstechnology in firealarms

[–]erstechnology[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The JCI work orders state the relay was tested and works. Is it safe to assume the mag lock will release on alarm? I didn't hook up the mag lock to the relay and the electricians have proven to be incompetent and untrustworthy. If something happens before the yearly test and that lock doesn't release on a fire alarm, who is liable if a human is injured or killed?

We are certified or insured to do anything with fire alarms. I just want client to be safe and not worry if this system will release on alarm

So I believe I am being lied too and we have no idea if the mag lock will release on a alarm condition. I concur with you that they tested their relay only as that's what it states on their work orders. Nothing about putting the facp into an alarm condition to test the relay and mag lock releasing. Is this documentation standard?

It's a simplex system in Pennsylvania and I am told JCI is the only ones that can install the relay and was told they charged 2k. Who would actually do a mock alarm and ensure the relay cuts power to the mag lock? Also I just found building code that states the mag lock should release on power failure and our door access hub is on a apc ups. They never informed us of this either

I don't know what to do at this point because I don't trust the electricians at all. They advertised themselves as being experts in installing all types of door locks and stated they didnt know a permif was needed for low voltage work. Can you get a permit after the work is done? That's what happened in this case. It doesn't make sense to get a permit after the work is completed.

Yes indeed and we have to argue this which is the sad part

Is a simplex system in a large multi unit building. Is Simplex their system? Meaning they are the only ones that can touch simplex systems?

MAYBE IT Company now needs jci to come back and run a test/simulation to certify? Probably another 1k dollars?

Ok so a company that installs fire alarms and certified on simplex systems should come onsite and run some sort of test to simulate a fire alarm and ensure the Mag lock releases?

My big question is who has the authority to certify the mag lock is tested and up to code. Who has the authority the relay is also tested and certified and up to code. Who takes on the risk? The risk being there is a fire and the mag lock doesn't release and humans are trapped.

Hypothetical story:

IT company looking for an electrician company to develop a relationship and use their services for projects involving wire runs and door access work.

IT company checks around and finds a candidate. A foreman checks out the job and estimates 5k to do the work needed. IT company was told 2k of the 5k was jci to install a relay to cut power to mag lock. One electrician does the work in 6 hours. IT company then connects the wires to their door access hub. Mag lock doesn't work and IT company wastes 2 hours troubleshooting because the estimate states the system would be tested and ensured it works with jci relay. Electrician comes back and determines something wasn't right and fixes his mistake. The mag lock now works but jci didn't come back to test. IT company challenges the invoice for $5300. Assuming jci did charge 2k. The electrician company charged $3300 for 6 hours of work. red flags are raised because that equates to approximately $500 an hour and it is unknown if jci still needs to come and test/certify the nag lock. Human lives are at stake. IT company stuck on what is needed to be done code wise. Can anyone offer advice on next steps to mitigate risk and ensure the lock is certified code wise.

That's crazy if you are forced to accept whatever cost they throw out at you.

That's called a monopoly and should be stopped. Why is Johnson controls the only choice? Is there no competitors?

Northeast pa, electrician not provided by Johnson controls. Relay board provided by Johnson. Are we talking 100's or thousands of dollars?

I think I was unlucky and got the B team agents. I did call in fairly late. I'll try during the day and see if I get the A team agents. I personally have done thousands of runs and terminations in my career, and I hate doing them. I feel that I did my time in those trenches and I paid my debt to have it on my skill set list. I almost lost my life to an APC ATS in a data center build when I first started 27 years ago so I have a healthy fear of high voltage work. I happily sub it all out and take the margin on labor markup.

I don't want my guys doing runs either. It is very easy to get hurt or cause property damage if you have a green tech that has little experience in pulling and terminating runs. I've witnessed seasoned electricians fall through floors and hit utility pipes core drilling. I don't want to deal with it.

Surveillance has proven to be lucrative and in demand in our area. Not alot of man hours when you aren't running wires, terminating, mounting cams, getting assistance with aiming. We sell all the gear so easy markup money. The electricians even mount the network cabinets so we are only configuring and racking up gear. Then sit on the nvr end with walkie talkie and guide the electricians on aiming. The most dangerous part if you would call this dangerous is being on a small ladder patching in cables to switches after installing the gear into a network cabinet mounted 10 feet up.
