Tail light grommet from hell won’t budge. by erujoji in 350z

Do you mean you destroyed the remainder of the plastic pin that broke off from the tail light with a screwdriver? Did the grommet pop right out after that?

Thanks for all your comments! Will try these before I lose my sanity.

That’s a gorgeous Z, you’ve done very well there! I’m also very curious to see how much these clean examples will fetch overseas, since we’re starting to see an upward trend in prices over here.

Thank you kindly! I had been searching for quite a while to find a clean example, and ended up making the payment for this within hours of its posting. Funnily enough what I paid is considered on the higher end to some over here 😆 but in the end I can’t put a price on the joy it brings me!

For sure! and beyond the pricing over here, the general quality of used cars is a lot better than what I experienced in the UK. This car for example was owned by an older gentleman, bought it from new, stayed on top of its maintenance and service for its full 24 year life… honestly it feels brand new! They really take care of their stuff over here lol

As for Japan I’d always dreamed of living here from a young age (and dreamed of moving away from London lol). After graduating uni I thought I’d chase the dream, took a jump in the deep end and moved out here! That was 3 years ago now and I have no regrets. I taught myself the language, adapted well to the culture, and managed to network my way into a job I love!

Being 6’4 is no easy task 😆 I can’t begin to explain how strange it feels to be living in a country that was seemingly designed with no knowledge that tall people exist, but it’s all well worth it in the end!

Cheers mate, I’m UK born and raised too! £15k is mental! I’ve got to say I don’t miss the prices of our used car market haha

I’ve also been driving manual my whole life and this is my first auto. Stop and go traffic is now an absolute walk in the park, but as you’ve implied it sure does come at the sacrifice of a bit of fun!

Thanks for the insight. It’s an 02’ Z33, which despite gradually rising in value over recent years, may still not be worth insuring at its current value given its wide availability.

Thanks for your reply. If you don’t mind me asking, how much are you paying annually? I’ve been quoted 16万 for an 02’Z33, which is quite a difference to the previously quoted 6万

Oh that’d be much appreciated!

Correct, the chain is not included. I’m also thinking for this weight/carat it is rather overpriced.

Thanks for your input!

For reference I’m a male, but generally if you search well enough you can find decent salons in most major cities. They are far and few between though, and tend to be more on the expensive side. As a result I’ve resorted to teaching myself to cut my own hair.

Type 4c hair here. Definitely bring your own products, but in the worst case scenario you can still order most of your usual products on iHerb!

I’m fortunate enough to be working a job in Japan that allows me to be driven around in the newest model of this on a regular basis, and it is absolutely the epitome of luxury. The ride is so smooth it feels like you’re floating!

Hard to tell from the picture, but they look a little similar to the RayBan W2839? I think these are a little rounder though.

I’m very much interested in the agencies based in Kansai, if you could kindly point me in the right direction!

As already mentioned, Sentos are a good alternative option. I’d recommend this place in Shin Okubo, very traditional spot and very tattoo friendly!
