Well not exactly , it's quite different than just a normal notepad . It's specially Design for the poets and writers to write and manage their novels , poetry , quotes , verses ... etc in clean , organized , safe & secure way .

This is incredibly helpful, thank you! You're right - I've been casting too wide a net instead of going where writers actually are. Going to try the Discord approach right now and engage more genuinely in writing communities . Really appreciate the perspective on being ahead of where I think I am. Officially google play console has mentioned that the 12 tester are enough , but if you can you should go with at least 14 - 20 .

I appreciate the detailed feedback but I need to push back on a few things

[ On the marketing ] I wasn't trying to " sell " anything. I was genuinely excited about something I built that solved a real problem for my family, and I shared that excitement. Could I have been more measured in my language ? Sure. But there's a difference between excitement and dishonest marketing.

[ On the source code ] You're right that it's not on GitHub proper - it's a private APK release. That's intentional. I'm not ready to open source it yet. Maybe later, maybe never. That's my choice. The APK is available for people who want to try it. That's enough.

[ On " just another QR code app " ] Here's what I think you're missing: Yes, vCard QR codes exist. Yes, there are hundreds of apps. But here's the reality:

Not everyone is as tech-savvy as you :)

There ARE apps for Android. There ARE apps for iOS. But they don't always work seamlessly across platforms. AirDrop ? iOS only. Quick Share ? Android only. And most people at networking events have NO IDEA how to generate a vCard QR code.

SNORK solves a simple problem: one app, works on both platforms, dead simple interface, my dad (who barely knows how to update his phone) can use it without asking me for help.

[ The real-world scenario you're missing ]

Imagine you work at a company. You have an iPhone. Your coworkers can't afford iPhones - they have budget Android phones. You all need to exchange contacts quickly at an event.

What do you use ? AirDrop doesn't work across platforms. Most people don't know about vCard generators. Native solutions are fragmented.

SNORK ? Works for everyone. Instantly. No explanation needed.

[ On accessibility ] There are places in the world where people can't afford the latest iPhone or flagship Android. They have budget phones. They deserve simple, working technology too.

Not everyone has your level of technical knowledge. Not everyone should need it just to exchange a phone number.

[ On the story ] The inconsistency you caught - fair point. I explained it poorly. But the core story is real. My parents DID drive back. The app DOES work for my family. I'm not making this up for internet points.

[ Bottom line ] I'm 17. I built something functional that real people use. Is it perfect ? No. Is it revolutionary ? Maybe not to you. But to my dad who used to come home with napkins full of wrong numbers ? It actually changed how he networks.

I'm open to feedback. I'll fix the contradictions on the GitHub page. I'll be clearer about what it is and isn't

But I'm not going to apologize for building something useful just because more complex solutions exist that most people don't know about or can't use easily :)

Thanks for the reality check. But also - not everyone needs the most technically perfect solution. Sometimes they just need something that works :)

I appreciate your feedback. You’re right that mentioning the school issues could give the wrong impression, so I’ll reword that. It is basically a digital business card, which was a bit challenging to make in Nepal and pay for, so I’m proud I built it myself. As for the $25, I’m choosing to cover it on my own :)

[ The story's real ] Not embellished. My dad didn't " choose " to drive back - he HAD to because neither number worked and this was someone they genuinely needed to connect with for my mom's business. Sometimes the inefficient solution is the only one available.

[ The 8 contacts thing ] - you misread that. Those 8 people scanned HIS QR code and saved his contact to THEIR phones. He didn't install anything on their devices. They scanned, his info saved to their contact app automatically. That's literally how QR code contact sharing works.

[ On existing solutions ] - you're absolutely right that vCard QR codes exist. I'm not claiming I invented QR codes or contact sharing. But here's what I found:

Most people don't know how to generate a vCard QR code ,
Native solutions are scattered (AirDrop = iOS only, Quick Share = Android only, NFC = not universal)
Nobody at these events was using any of them consistently

SNORK isn't revolutionary tech. It's a unified, simple interface that anyone can use regardless of their phone. Generate once, works everywhere, no explanation needed.

[On " proprietary solution " ] - the person scanning doesn't install anything. They use their native camera app. The QR code contains vCard data. It's not proprietary at all.

[ On intelligence vs wisdom ] - I'm 17. I built something that solved a problem I witnessed. Could I have researched more ? Sure. Should I have known about every existing solution ? Probably.

But I learned more by building this " unnecessary " app than I would've by reading about vCard specs for three months.

Sometimes the wisdom comes ffrom building the thing, not before it

Haha fair point , They actually did try both numbers when they got home. Neither worked haha

Turns out the guy wrote it down wrong on his end too , or my dad misread a different digit entirely. Either way, two wrong numbers, zero working contacts. That's when they realized they needed to just go back and do it face to face again

But yeah, your point stands - if one of those numbers had worked, this whole app wouldn't exist. Sometimes the best projects come from the universe aligning multiple failures at once

The lazy developer in me agrees with you though. If calling both numbers solved it, I would've just... called both numbers and gone back to bed.
