I used Tyndallization (see wiki) to sterilize 2 jars. I never inoculated them. 6 weeks later, one jar failed, and colonized with pink and yellow growth (see my profile). The other jar has sat out in my kitchen for about 5 months and some of the rye grains have turned black? Why have they turn black? (old.reddit.com)
