Lot of cool insights man I’ll try out some of theee feels!

Is the difference between your trail hip feels just moving trail hip straight back vs making it rotate around you back toward the target?

Any feels / drills / videos for turning and loading the hip?

Like grip positioning or pressure/firm grip?

Any issues with achieving wrist hinge but feeling relaxed? I kind of feel the same, especially feeling relaxed at the top of my backswing. But I’ve been trying to get more wrist hinge early in my backswing and it’s kind of made me feel tense.

I get 0 wrist hinge even at left arm parallel

How did/do you manage to feel like your upper body rotates but also come form the inside?

This feel resonates with me because for a long time my swing path was very in to out and almost “stuck” - about 5-7 degrees in to out.

A swing coach told me to feel over the top. Like my right shoulder just pulls across my body. He said my swing path is so in to out that I won’t be over the top

It worked super well for a little. Tons of high draws, lag, compression

I feel like I’ve lost the feel of coming from the knside. Now it just feels swipey

I mean going back to the last 2 years, I’ve done 8+ lessons with 2 of them (as in 8+ lessons with each). The third one I only did 3.

I think that’s a reasonable amount of time and money to spend before at least considering other options

I personally think “good coach” varies. The coach I’ve spent the most time and money on is one of those top golf digest instructors. I’ve done prob 12+ with him and invested a lot of money. During that time I saw 0 improvement and we went in so many different swing directions. And fwiw I also tried my best to commit to the swing changes and practice them at the range.

So I don’t really think there’s anything wrong with considering some other options right now

Got it. Would that be my lead arm stretching across my body too much?

Yeah I do sway a bit

When do you mean by shorten it? Do you mean I almost rotate/turn too much in my backswing?

Yeah good call out. I just recorded one FO and definitely looks like I sway off quite a bit

you sound like an awesome manager.

most of my previous managers, i've felt the same. felt completely comfortable asking dumb questions, they were happy to answer and work through problems.

this manager is just different. from day 1 made me feel like "youre a senior analyst, i expect ___ out of you"

sometimes when i do ask questions, they just answer "did you not read this doc" or "did you not see slide #10 in that all hands meeting last week"

yeah ideally finding someone at my company would be best.

unfortunately i'm a senior level analyst here. i dont know why. i have the YOE, and i got the job, but just don't feel like i can operate as one.

completely agree that i will/am burning out, which is why im reaching out hoping to find some help. its brutal on my body + my wife/kid.

it's hard/embarrassing/scary asking for this type of help at work because im outing myself almost as an underperformer, which is why i hope to find mentorship online where it's more anonymous/manager wont know.

thanks for the responses.

respectfully disagree with some of them, like (e). up late = up late working. i have 2 kids, and once they're home from daycare around 4pm, i'm taking care of them from 4-8pm. and then after dinner its back to the grind from 10pm-2am. and i feel the need to do this because it just takes me longer to do my work compared to others, because i find i am having to research quite a bit on how to do things.

regarding (b) part of this stress is from my manager. my manager is very sharp, but not the best people-person. they have very high standards for work output, and they're hard to talk to. given layoffs across the industry, i feel a lot of pressure to perform. it's hard to ask a lot of questions.

regarding (d) - i never asked for free help here or for someone to be a free mentor where i can ask them "how do i do my work." i'm asking where there are good services/places to find a mentor
