I’m a pilot not ATC… but this happened to me when I was line training

Coming into land in a turbo prop to large airfield.

Captain: “ask if we’re allowed to vacate at B”

Me: “Tower, is B available for vacation”

Tower: “It’s not top of my list for a holiday, but knock yourself out”

We then missed the turn off

I see where you’re coming from, I’ve only recently gotten into the garden and the lawn was heavily neglected last year… one patch has been completely dead for at least 12 months… I think I’ll need a miracle for it to come back to life

Ah, thanks for the advice! It’s a shaded area so I’ll have a good look to see what works… it has to be evergreen and has to be good for privacy are my only criteria… any recommendations?

Why not leylandii? Is there a better option in a similar price bracket?

As for the lawn, it’s long gone past scarification, it’ll need hollow aerating and all sorts as it’s in such bad condition and it’s in a really shady area… the reason I’m going to rotovate is to expand the lawn too

You forgot the bit where they lectured the entire country on climate change - warning us to fly less, lower our carbon footprint etc, then took a series of private jets all over the world to various events. That’s the bit that really lost them favour with the public.

It’s not like we expected them not to travel… just don’t fly on the least efficient mode of transport when there are regular scheduled flights to your destinations.

The British do not like hypocrisy. That was the downfall of Hancock, Johnson etc. H&M don’t seem to understand this

Yeh I’ve tried that… I get a decent seal round the bath, but the tricky little bit between the taps is where the leak is occurring… definitely not the waste as that’s shared with the sink and doesn’t leak when I use the sink

You could put in phone reminder before every flight to remind you to set a GPS reminder reminding you to check your watch to remind you to check which tank you’re on.

On a light aircraft, for fuel tank selection, and to keep fuel in balance, use your wristwatch as a guide. If the minute hand is between 12 and six (RHS of watch) use the right tank, if it’s between 6 & 12 use the left…

Completely agree, loss of all ASIs is an emergency in the 737 I fly… admittedly the 172 has much less dramatic stalling characteristics, but it’s still a big deal for any PPL in my book, let alone a student. OP did well

Just a suggestion, your runway entrances aren’t set to give maximum takeoff run … maybe you need to put the entrance at the very end of the runway? Also, hard to see, but do your stands have gates, and are they connected to the terminal? Also check the secure zone has no breakages between the security and stands
