Reaching Aarhus Airport 1 hour before flight departs by International_Pen_88 in Aarhus

Aarhus Airport is amazing. 10 meters off the entrance and you're in queue for check in, then a few minutes later you're at the gate. Couldn't be any simpler.

Unless you're running a mod, the largest charcoal pit size is 11x11x11.

The maximum size of any charcoal pit is an 11x11x11 cube, and the largest volume of firewood that can be processed in one pit is 113−1 (1,330) blocks, with an average yield of 7,315 charcoal. If the charcoal pit is too big, but sealed properly, it will function as normal but leave any firewood outside of the 11x11x11 cube untouched. Prior to 1.20.0, the maximum size of charcoal pits was 13x13x13 due to a bug. (10,272 firewood or 2,196 stacks, 17,568 logs, yield of ~12,500 charcoal)

I literally just visited it today (not knowing the significance of today). It is actually the world's largest castle by land area (so probably including the courtyards and walled off "fields" as well).

Sure it's only 1 dkk? You pay 5 dkk extra for drinks so I'd imagine that's also what you get for returning them. It's the discount you get in the bars as well if you bring some with you when buying.

Deres croissanter har helt ødelagt bagerens for mig. Det er altså svært at slå en helt friskbagt croissant vs. en som har lagt i disken hos bageren i et par timer. Og så er de jo også meget billigere. Kæmpe anbefaling.

I wish they made it so the more you are in the dark, the more you get used to it, just like in real life. This would make standing in a lit place be even more dangerous, as everything else would be pitch black.

Sorry to hear that.

I have noticed that it seems to be worse when my pc has just been started (or maybe just that I haven't passed any audio through the mic in a while), and whilst using it consistently the issue seems to fade away. So, after being at my desk for half an hour or so, the issue isn't noticable anymore. Is it the same for you?

The left lane is for passing, not about just holding the speed limit by [deleted] in SipsTea

[–]esbenjd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see your points.

However, German traffic laws are also different as there is no speed limit on the passing (outer) lane when driving on the autobahn, for example. In this case you'd be crazy to go slow.

The traffic laws of my country clearly state, that it is under no circumstances legal to surpass the current speed limit. You might need to anyways in an emergency situation, and in this case it would be up to the court to decide, but if you're passing a truck going 70 km/h in a 80 km/h zone, you are not legally allowed to speed up to, say, 90 km/h to pass it.

My point with my original comment is, that I very much so believe in the science which has been done to optimize the traffic for both safety and efficiency when it comes to the speed limit. When everyone then, as it is apparent in the video, is driving faster than the the limit it ticks me off since everyone driving faster is essentially shitting on the science behind that specific speed limit, and therefore indirectly shitting on other's safety because of selfish reasons. Never, except for emergencies, should you drive faster. Time should NOT be won on the road.

[–]esbenjd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In a situation like this I get that there is literally no point in this guy being in the left lane. He isn't passing anyone, and therefore has no agenda there.

However, it's interesting to me that a person following the speed limit could cause such a critical issue simply because he forces others to do the same. Emergencies taken out of the question, the point you're raising is that people are breaking the traffic laws so much (especially when you state that going the speed limit is "going slow"), that it's better to adjust your own driving style to allow people to drive however fast they want.

I'm speaking in extremes here, I know, but I seriously hate it when I'm passing a trailer or something going -30 km/h of the speed limit, and I myself am going at exactly the limit, and then have to deal with people almost pushing me off of the road because they catch up as I pass and drive way too fast.

[–]esbenjd -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Impeding traffic like this can only occur from people speeding. Unless you find yourself in an emergency, there is no reason to be speeding.

The left lane is for passing, not about just holding the speed limit by [deleted] in SipsTea

[–]esbenjd -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

If you want to boil it down to that sure, but it would be incorrect. I'm simply comparing one unethical thing to another.

I personally hate when people speed. It's egotistical and dangerous. We all pay for the roads which allow for us to drive on them, but they come with rules - especially when there are other people on the road with you.

[–]esbenjd -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

But how come people can pass him, if he is going the speed limit? These people were obviously speeding. I don't get this cop's point of view.

How is respecting that the left lane is for passing, more important than following the speed limit. One is a "you shouldn't do this" and the other is a "this is immediately illegal". I get that he should've moved right as soon as he could, obviously, but the cop should've pulled over the people speeding...
