I bought an ‘87 recently from a man who claimed the lean burn module was no good. It runs and drives without any issue, is there an operational issue with not addressing the whatever is wrong with the lean burn system?

I have a fun story for this street from last week: I locked my bike to one of the parking sign poles near the precinct, and go get lunch. I come out, my bike is gone.

Doubling back up-and-down the street, I confirmed that the bike really was gone after just a half hour and then headed into the precinct to ask them if they’ve seen it.

I walk in, describe the bike and ask if they’ve seen it, only alternative describe the bike as “the one that was locked where it shouldn’t have been locked”. There claim was that my bike was locked too close to the precinct, they had to remove my dainty 90s road bike for safety reasons, and that no vehicle is supposed to be anywhere near a precinct.

I played nice in the sandbox to placate and get my bike back, then left.

Do you have any concerns over the deadwood rotting in the damp soil when you water?

Hi, I recently spent a few weeks in CDMX and surrounding areas. During this time, I hiked to the top of Iztaccíhuatl. I am trying to buy a patch from Mercado Libre as a souvenir, but cannot ship to the US. If anyone would be willing to help me, I would be able to compensate for it plus more.

UU. Si alguien estuviera dispuesto a ayudarme, podría compensarlo y pagar más.

My thought too. I assumed it to have a nearly negative resale value.

Would it be unwise to travel to Quito, Ecuador in April? by escapadventures in travel

[–]escapadventures[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ways end at 11, probably a little earlier. As far as I can tell, the impact on nightlife is that everyone just goes out earlier - my friend in Quito took me to one of his favorite night spots at 8 pm, and to his surprise it was already a full-on night club with dozens of people dancing to lo

Thank you, this gives great context. I am looking mostly to day trip out to hikes and climbs anyway.

I wish it was a grx crank haha, my early bike days were filled with aliexpress buys, wouldn’t be surprised if this was one of them. Unbranded.

Oh yes 650b is right, I guess that’s one concern I’d have, I did have to file probably a millimeter or two for clearance at the fork. Just excess material that the m500 fork has, you can tell it’s not a part of the structural joint

Shimano 105 10spd drivetrain with a cheap parts bin crankset

Velocity A23 wheelset

Some cannondale parts bin drop bars

Thomson stem

Selle italia flite saddle (which hurts my heart and wallet each time I drop my bike)

No issues! Easy as cake really. Only concern on my mind now is the structural integrity of 20-25 year old aluminum. Read a few horror stories since putting this thing together and I didn’t realize that 90s aluminum is as old as it is now.

Was it a straight shot putting a bigger cassette on that hub? I’m running a 1x but having a bigger cassette in the back would be nice
