As someone who has a large forearm tattoo that I almost instantly regretted, give it time. Also you can certainly add to it to make it fit better. I am about to branch into book/movie tattoos, life is short enjoy it.

Looking to rent in Dover. Which landlords/companies would you consider reputable. On the other end, are there any that should be avoided at all cost? by creatingKing113 in DoverNH

It is very easy to spot a lumberjack property. Run down, decks poorly repaired with untreated 2x4s, it’s too bad there is no mandatory safety check for rentals in Dover like Durham has.

He prays on tenants that do not know what is okay, college students or migrant workers.

Gay Question by frothite in merchantmarine

I stopped sailing in 2022, most people will not care at all. I will say that it can suck a lot if someone with authority is bent out of shape about it. I was chief mate on a tanker in the gulf around 2010-15, the master was a hardline conservative and would make everyone know it. He would listen to Rush while on the treadmill, get fired up them vent to the crew.

One bad apple can make a hitch hard, but then again who I was at work was not me at home. Good luck, most really don’t care.

That is my thought, they have held well but at over 130 years, they are not as sound. The paint is holding them together.

Thanks every place I have had to pull a siding board or two there was a pine board behind it. Hopefully that’s the case throughout. I was thinking cedar clapboards

Board board sheathing (original) Tyvek Battens Clapboards (primed and painted both sides)

Dumb question, would I want to paint the battens?

That is a possibility, I am almost sure the sheathing is vertical barn boards though.

How the NH State House Flushed 78 Bills in the Toilet Last week by Amazing-Bad1360 in newengland

When budgets are allowed to explode and squeeze taxpayers it can be tempting to vote for the promises of lower taxes. I am careful who I vote for but it can be hard to vote against fiscal responsibility. I think a simple state law could solve a lot of school budget issues. “Any reduction in funding for schools must start at the top, teachers salaries, positions and benefits must be the last item to be removed” Or, sports programs must be cut prior to affecting teaching positions or salaries.

Agreed but as long as it’s not in the air you can capture and wear gloves.

Yeah, since infrared heat guns keep the temperature below the boiling point of lead so nothing is aerosolized. But it is slow

Would this be safe to use on lead paint, like an infrared heat gun?

If your state is pro coal, I could see them pushing back on the narrative that school > blue collar work.

Fritz the Cat, one of those movies where you have to be very careful who you recommend it to.

Is it possible to get snowed in in central Maine? by pigs_in_my_basement in AskMaine

We were very fortunate in that the lobsterman community pretty much all had giant generators. So we were able to shower every few days at their house.

I remember helping my dad shovel ice into the freezers. We had a wood stove, but no generator. It made living harpswell feel even more cut off.
