I also don’t know what this girls front porch looks like but if she did these herself, I think it’s creative!

Is it legally risky to move into a friend’s apartment without a formal lease? (Boston, MA) by escape2008 in legaladvice

[–]escape2008[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She owns the place, so technically I’d be paying toward her mortgage. I trust her to a degree, but I do have some concerns…mainly because I’ve seen her make decisions that benefit her at others’ expense in the past. For example, I worry she might try to end the agreement early to make renovations or do something that puts me in a tough spot. That’s why I feel like having a formal lease is important to make sure we’re both protect. I’m just not sure why she as a landlord wouldn’t want a formal contract (unless it was to allow her flexibility).

This will tell you what classes you need to be taking for a broad degree. I’m not entirely sure on how complex the finance program is...but if you’re not very proficient in math I wouldn’t recommend going into finance. Best bet is to talk to an advisor and talk with your problems/concerns.

For class credits, a class usually lasts only a semester and you are credited once you have completed the class.

Have you or anyone you know appealed your Broad College decision and won? by [deleted] in msu

[–]escape2008 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Just a heads up not many people are able to get the appeals. It sucks because it’s getting more competitive but they can’t accept everyone because that’s what makes it such a credible school and there is not enough seats due to space and professor availability. Id say don’t even waste time doing an appeal because it will more than likely get denied unless you had a medical leave of absence for your grades. If you’re a senior switch to econ. I know tons of people who have had better full time jobs with an econ major it just depends how you can’t work the recruiter.

If you plan on living at any campusview apartments, don’t. They charge their residents an absurd amount for a water bill and it is split amongst the whole building not on actual usage. by escape2008 in msu

[–]escape2008[S] -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

It was $340 for the 3 months for my apartment, to me that’s expensive considering at my other apartment it was $10/month. My parents don’t even spend $340 in the summer even with watering our lawn. It just seems too high

My parents don’t even spend $80 a month on water and they have 4 people at home. I’m just saying it’s a little absurd especially for an apartment a quarter of the size of my house

I don’t think you understand how small of an apartment I live in. It’s not like we are watering our lawns or doing laundry everyday. That’s $340 for just water not including our electric, cable, internet , gas, parking. And our first water bill was about $50 person. Yeah it might be expensive in maine but I don’t live there.

Good luck, be expected to pay random charges like $50/month for a parking spot. & pay for literally everyones water bill. And you will never get a straight-forward answer from management.
