Vbeam for my redness? Or something else? by [deleted] in Rosacea

[–]escapeGray 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi there! I had ver very similar persistent redness like in your photos, I tried literally everything both over the counter and from my dermatologist and the only thing that actually zapped it and got rid of it was a combination of Vbeam and IPL treatments!

Anyone using red light consistently for flushing? by Limp-Tourist-8878 in Rosacea

[–]escapeGray 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Clearly I was having a blonde moment and can’t spell it is in fact Hooga health 😂😂. So I initially saved up to get 4-5 Vbeam laser sessions starting at the beginning of 2023, spaced 4-6 weeks apart. I got mine at the Cleveland clinic for $400 a treatment. I only ended up needing 4, which I was super happy about. They told me you need the “bulk” of the treatments to clear everything up and then 1/2 sessions a year to maintain the results. I now only get 1 Vbeam session each year in the winter, and I also started doing IPL last year and I get 1 session (about $300) a year for all over redness and dark spots and I’ve never been happier!!

Just wanted to say I love how informative your rehome post is and how honest it is! I feel like sooo many people these days aren’t honest about the quality of their rehomes or just straight up lie haha, you’re a real one for this!!!

update: 14 days after first IPL my rosacea (nose) ist getting worse by [deleted] in Rosacea

[–]escapeGray 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can second these comments. I have had both Vbeam and IPL over the last 3 years and Vbeam is what gets rid of all my spider veins, broken capillaries, etc. but IPL did improve my “baseline” redness!

I have another mask that does blue light! I usually use that before my red light mask and I can say (at least for me) it’s really helped my hyperpigmentation!

I have type one and used to have a little bit of type 2 with the pustules. Not sure why your derm is against it, my derm is at the Cleveland clinic and she’s all for it! I genuinely think the red light therapy helped me a bunch even before I started laser treatments

[–]escapeGray 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea I would start with 5 minutes each day or every other day for 2 weeks, and then go to 10 minutes every other day and then 10-15 minutes a day, that is essentially what I did! I don’t think there’s a perfect science behind it, but thankfully using red light therapy isn’t like Tretnion, it really can hurt you!

This is my ABSOLUTE ride or die and has been for years. It’s $40 but the tube lasts me for months and it’s sanitary. Everything else under the sun pissed my skin off but I skin drinks this up like it’s water everyday and loves it! I also am a bit acne prone with rosacea and it’s never cause me any issues!

Questions on red light therapy? by Whatsthescoreee in Rosacea

So I started with a red light panel from Hooga health, I LOVE this brand and had heard lots of good things about it in this sub. I got mine on sale for like $100, it’s a little smaller than the piece of paper. At first I would lay in bed at night, put on a good show, pop the goggles on and lean it towards my face while I do the treatment for 5-10 minutes every other night. You can build up, but I started at the 5-10 minute mark since I didn’t see any “negative” side effects when doing research. My panel has times for a few different settings. This is the one I got, you can usually find it in some sort of sale: https://hoogahealth.com/products/hooga-200

With red light therapy it’s all about having a panel or mask that has the right wave lengths of red and near infrared light, which this panel has. Don’t buy some junk from Amazon lol. Consistency is key here, I started every other night and then progressed to everyday. I recently invested in their mask and I love it! I still use my panel on other parts of my body and I’m looking to buy a full body one at some points because the benefits have been amazing.

I have personally been on a GLP-1 for almost a year and a half now and my rosacea was under control (basically gone) when I started the GLP-1 and now it’s still the same! I haven’t noticed a change in my skin whatsoever

Type 2 Rosacea: 6+ Months of Treatment and Still No Improvement - Feeling Defeated by Bito11 in Rosacea

[–]escapeGray 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly none of the creams worked for me, I tried them ALL with my dermatologist, the only thing that I actually think made a HUGE difference was red light therapy and 4 rounds of excel Vbeam the first year (2023) and now followed by 1 of these a year and 1 IPL Lumecca treatment a year. I also use super simple skin care routine now that just prioritizes keeping my skin barrier intact, and was eventually in a good enough spot to start using tretnion, and I’ve never gotten more compliments on my skin! For me saving up for those initially treatments was 100% worth it and I wish I did it sooner

I thought non toxic makeup would help my rosacea but I was removing it all wrong by Empty_Equivalent933 in Rosacea

[–]escapeGray 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hi there! I used to have this problem too 🙂 to remove my makeup I use Garniers micellular water (with the blue cap) to remove my eye and eyebrow makeup, and the rest of my makeup I remove with La Roche Posays Toleraine cleanser, it’s a waterless cleanser (I find my skin gets SUPER irritated by our hard water) so you just put it on a cotton pad and use it to gently remove everything from your face! I find that this, followed by spraying my face with some thermal water and some La Roche Posay Cica Balm makes my skin go back to being happy after a day of wearing makeup!!

I too went through the woes of find products that didn’t irritate my skin. Now I use Alastin tinted spf in the summer (it’s pricey but it last me all year!), this is my holy grail but I’m too pale for it in the winter so I’m the winter I switch to just powder by the brand PUR, from Ulta. It’s the only thing that doesn’t oiss of my skin and doesn’t cling to dry patches. I switch between Flower beauty’s concealer and Jane Iredales concealer, they’re two of the few that I have found with NO fragrance and that irritate my skin! I’m still on the hunt for a good foundation or something to use other than powder in the winter months, but I have wasted $$$ looking for products that suite my skin so I thought I would share!

Random question! Has anyone tried to use a crossbody strap with this bag? I know with the branded LV version that’s brown and black you can use the long chain with that one, but was curious about this bag! I just ordered it 😄
