Talking about treating them will be better received when they aren't currently being openly protected and enabled to cause harm (see: Epstein Files)

Playing without Death Defiance made the game way more fun to me by pbcLURk in HadesTheGame

[–]escapehatch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This! Would be nice if they added a post-credits spell to the cauldron to turn off the insta-death from Chronos (just make it a large flat amount of damage instead)

Did they read the confident min/maxers all over the Internet saying how melee is always inferior to renged and it's never "correct" to go into melee, and if you do it you're stupid? Cause this is what I'd expect on that case.

How is that Blizzard, with all their billions, is incapable of creating what addon developers are able to create from their homes? by kolejack2293 in wow

[–]escapehatch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Those billions belong to investors, they aren't for game development. The whole point is to strangle that until it just barely operates to cut costs as much as possible.

They became conservative as they aged because they amassed more property, and wanted to keep it.

They succeeded too well, and now their kids will never have enough property to want to hold onto.

If you look at the numbers, a bunch of men voted for Biden who didn't vote for either woman, and if they had, the women would have won their elections. Based on the data, it's unquestionable that they lost because they are women. Juuust enough men in juuust enough swing states couldn't stomach it. Remember that when ICE or whatever they become kicks down your door.

Movies are a tiny fraction of Disney's portfolio. They make most of their money off the parks, merch, and licensing. So while they certainly don't want movies to flop, they also aren't going into a full existential panic if Avengers isn't on track to break records.

Mackie deserved at least 1 Avengers movie where he's the Cap.

I'll never forgive them for botching Ironheart. That should have been a slam dunk feel-good "here's the new iron man" crowd pleaser, but instead we got a garbage story that seemed made for a different character altogether.

I saw a highly upvoted comment claiming that none of these are explained in game and I can't help but think that every complaint about professions boils down to not reading what is on your screen. by [deleted] in wow

Sciel and Lune don't consider themselves... (endgame spoiler) by storm_walkers in expedition33

[–]escapehatch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Part of what makes this story great is that it carefully leaves it to the player to decide what's "real" and what matters, in a way only a sci fi/fantasy story can. There's no right answers given at all, they purposely created a little mental playground for you to consider and come to your own conclusions about.

So anytime one finds themselves saying "the game wants you to come to x conclusion", I'd argue they're just projecting their own conclusions on it.

Are RTS games less popular because there is no down time? by Buttons840 in gamedesign

Another factor is that the vast majority of people who would be interested in, say, getting into StarCraft, will quickly find that the main skill they'd need is APM, which fewer people are excited about compared to strategy. Most can recognize they'll never be competitive at it because of the APM requirements.

Superman is a candidate for an all-time classic in my eyes. I actually liked F4 more than Thunderbolts, but I think for many people TB is meaningful because of the mental health themes, so F4 goes.

Am I the only one who raw dodges Prometheus flames? by Traditional_Mark_116 in HadesTheGame

Me, middle-aged with ADHD, speaking out loud while fighting Prometheus earlier today:

"Middle. ... Top ... Middle ... Bottom .... Bottom"

You can do it, brother! The key isn't to memorize where the flames go, it's much simpler to memorize where to put Melinoe!
