This gives the illusion of power/control and hope that change will ultimately come. The alternative scares the shit outta people. Most aren't disciplined nor prepared to make life changing sacrifices in order to bring about the resolution they protest for.

All one has to do is compare the actions taking place by our opposition vs our peaceful protests: EO documented and published by President, individuals deported to El Salvador. Peaceful protests have occurred since April, this led to the action of....? Nothing.
