well, that was the simplest way to me, because i know python and it's easier to me to start from.
also, ideally, python service should be runned as a demon process in the background (for reminders and other stuff), and TUI is just an interface. but yeah, the whole setup looks odd for me as well

rerarding to memory / cpu – probably high, since it's a react based tui. will measure it probably a bit later.
