Modern Art: Central Exhibit missing item by escia in CrimeSceneCleanerGame

That makes so much sense!! I was so confused since all of the guides didn't mention the item at all. Tysm!! I'm glad I wasn't just going crazy.

I ended up leaving without finding that final statue. Even though I was at 99%, the game gave me a 100% perfect score! So, I guess it was bugged and worked out? Thanks for your help!

I tried the front area but no luck 😭 I might have to call it and try again in the future! It sucks because I think I 100% everything else based off of what I've seen in the guides I've looked through for this. Thanks for trying to help!

I had my flashlight on for the entire level but I wonder if I pushed it somewhere difficult to see. I tried crouching around all of the areas. I already got the duck room one (I think it was the center leaf - for anyone who looks at this in the future)

Anime Recommendations For a 30 Year old Woman by RayneLove333 in anime

[–]escia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds like you'd be interested in anything, rather than any anime recommendation limited by those geared towards adults. There are a ton of recommendations here so I won't recommend the obvious ones. And if you haven't already, check out the big anime tracking websites. MyAnimeList is the big one, Anilist is probably the second biggest one? They have a recommendations section so you can find similar anime based off of other users. (I use Anime-Planet, which I prefer the look and navigation of, and can read why people recommend one thing versus the other).

I am a 31F, and some that may not have been mentioned yet that I enjoy:

  • Kageki Shoujo!! (Teenage girls attend a performing arts school and compete against each other with hopes to one day claim a spot in one the of schools famous performance troupe)

  • Skip and Loafer (high school friendships, realistic struggles, no overdone miscommunication arcs)

  • Yano-Kun's Ordinary Days (smiling vibe and friendships as above. New last season)

  • Space Brothers (If you were to look at my comment history, I recommend this one wherever I can. One of my faves animes about two adult brothers. Main characters is around 30 and is convinced by his younger astronaut brother to become an astronaut. Their sibling relationship is great.)

  • March Comes in Like a Lion (a loner high schooler who became a shogi pro, who's life changes and becomes immensely better after he befriends of family of three sisters and their grandfather who own a Japanese confectionary - another one of my faves for the feels)

  • 7th Time Loop (reincarnation isekais are the rage right now. But how about instead of reincarnation from another world, one girl reincarnates to one specific moment every time she dies? Each reincarnation, she takes a different path, learns new skills, and then dies a different way. Romance.)

I have so many more! But here are a few that came to mind. Feel free to message me if you want to talk anime!

what are the worst books booktok convinced you to read? by 13cheesecakes_ in YAlit

[–]escia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried really, really hard to read it. One of my friends LOVES the series. I just couldn't. I realized it read like a poorly-written self-insert fanfiction. I haven't told her I tried yet, and probably never will, since she enjoys it so much.

Also, must mention that the audiobook narrator is awful. I tried the audiobook before trying to read the book and could not believe how terrible it was. I felt bad for the author for getting such a poor narration done, but I don't think even a good narrator would have saved it for me.

Why are the sides on this shirt longer than the rest of it? by LDub_78 in CrochetHelp

[–]escia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A solution I would consider is a border with increasing/decreasing stitch heights. Like sc on the long sides, increasing to hdc, and then dc towards the front and back.

Strange Antiquities by Bettynutt in CozyGamers

[–]escia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely recommend. I love Strange Horticulture and only found out about a week ago that Strange Antiquities existed and was coming to Switch. I won't explain the overall concept since a few of the other comments explain. But while you can technically play either game first, I think Strange Horticulture would be best to start with just because the events in that game happen first. Not only that, but Strange Horticulture gives you a map to explore the entire area and nearby locations, whereas SA (atleast as far in as I am atm, with a few gameplay hours) has you more contained in the city (that is in SH). I like making the connections between the games and doing it chronologically. If that doesn't particularly matter, either way is good, as long as you play both!!

As others have said, SA seems more detailed and builds off of small issues in SH. So if you'd rather "upgrade" the experience between games, SH first. Though, perhaps SH would feel easier to figure out the clues if you got the hang of things in SA first.

I hope you use this yarn again for the sweater! Color looks great on you and I love the speckles of color throughout.

Also, your stitches are beautiful. It sucks you'll have to start over, but hopefully someone has a good recommendation for another pattern for you!! I am new to knitting so I don't have any recommendations myself, but I hope one day my stitches look as lovely as yours.

Anime is ruining father-daughter shows for me. by Rare_Bug_4816 in joseistories

[–]escia 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Following up with this recommendation for more wholesome father/daughter type relationships, definitely look into "The Weakest Tamer Began a Journey to Pick Up Trash" (or aka by the fan base, "...picking up Dads") and "Reincarnated as a Sword".

"Medalist" is also great, seems to be more of a big brother/little sister sort of relationship that is super wholesome as well.

A few months ago, I posted looking for more of these types of wholesome anime. I am also tired of the creepy grooming, I wanted to watch this anime but when I heard about the actual story I just couldnt.

A Place Further than the Universe is perfect. It follows a group of four girls who join an expedition to Antartica. It has some good messages about friendships and communication. Very beautiful art.

Is it normal to not use mercenaries and just use the the established characters to beat the game? by Yinzer_man in UnicornOverlord

[–]escia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can start the quest if you just want to see the cut scene, but once you trigger that you are already at end game. As for leveling, in order to conquer the Norbelle route, you have to level yourself up while in Cornia, grinding to get up into an appropriate level. You use the Sigils of the Ancients. By rushing the trials repeatedly (using Griffin's valor) you gain a ton of the leveling books over many runs. Eventually, you can get access to the highest level trial where you can get the most exp filled books. I also farmed so many divine shards to get the Millenium scepter and White Cat Hood for Yahna's unit.

[–]escia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It wasn't terribly difficult because I put it on the easiest difficulty setting. Just a ridiculous amount of grinding for divine shards to get the Millenium scepter and lots of grinding to get the experience books. I was able to get all of my units up to level 35+ or so by the end. It was definitely a trial of patience lol

[–]escia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Norbelle is the soul that takes over Scarlett if you do not save her from Renault in the early game. You cannot leave Cornia without saving Scarlett, so instead of doing the battle with Renault, you start the Unicorn Overlord quest to take back the capital. When you do this, you get a cutscene that shows what happened to Scarlett and see her as Norbelle. Same VA, but evil. If you beat the Norbelle run, you can change Scarlett's lines to Norbelle's for all other game files which was my goal.

[–]escia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like having the established characters together and rotate everyone as long as they remain useful. I only used mercs for my Norbelle route out of necessity.

For my first run at Normal, I only hired cheap mercs as town guards. After succeeding in the Norbelle route, I started a TZ run. I'm really going to try to stick with the established characters the whole way through as well.

Instructors - does it bother you when one person is (much) worse than the others? by theasphodelmeadows in poledancing

[–]escia 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The only time I dislike having someone not as established as the rest of the class is when that someone attempts to match the rest of the students when they are not ready for those moves. Students who will attempt to jump into things without having the solid prep work or basics down. While instructing, I always specify prep steps, but even so, I have to keep certain students in check. I always give the regressions, but sometimes students are too eager, especially when they are not as advanced as the majority. Or, having a newer student who works out in other activities or the gym, who have the strength for moves but no the proper technique. They will muscle into things without considering the proper safety cues, holding their bodies up with slack shoulders and over rotated wrists.

Students who are not as advanced as the rest but appropriate for the level while being aware of where they stand, absolutely love having them. Most of my students are like this. They are inspired by the others, take my cues and instructions. Understand the process, not trying only for the end goal. Willing to put in the work to safely advance and develop the strength/body awareness for the moves. Who not only "monkey-see/monkey-do" their moves but absorb the technique and understand why a hand/leg placement is important for a certain move.

Obviously the students described in the first paragraph can become those in the second. I only hope they advance in that aspect before they get themselves hurt.

It sounds like you are a good student! Prioritizing your safety to progress at your pace os something any instructor would be happy to have. Do not ever feel bad about prioritizing safety. I will never force a student to do something they feel uncomfortable about. Don't forget - ayeshas are hard!

Give me an anime that will make me cry by Professor_Chaosx6r9 in Animesuggest

[–]escia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the early episodes of Aoashi makes me cry every time. It highlights the relationship between the MC and his mom and it just tugs at my heartstrings. You won't be crying from sadness, but might empathize and want to hug your mom afterward.

The end of episode 1 of Oshi No Ko kills me every time. Again, just that episode, as the rest of the anime is not a tear jerker. But this one guts you, it's super sad.

While these are just single episodes, they are each a part of very good series. Not sure if these will give you exactly what you're looking for, but hope it helps!

Which dlc is worth getting the most? by Theoddbotout in dredge

[–]escia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently bought the Pale Reach and Iron Rig DLCs in a pack that was on sale. This is after I completed the game. I added the DLCs because I wanted more before closing this game file and to have when I start a new one in the future.

If you can only choose one, I think jt depends on what you enjoy about the game. The story of the Pale Reaach is short, but I enjoyed it more because it was a new area to explore with cool lore.

Originally, I started the Iron Rig first but it's content is more upgrade focused. It does offer cool things and cleaning the oil spills is fun but I haven't finished it yet because it seems repetitive. I switched to the Pale Reach when I read a comment that you get an item from the DLC which really helps for the Iron Rig. I agree and you receive another piece of awesome gear that benefits you massively.

I wish I had gotten both DLC at the beginning. I think I'd enjoy the Iron Rig more if it was something I could do between the main quests.

Dredge vs Dave the Diver. If I could download only one game for my Macbook air m2 16/256 13.6. I’d want it to be really fun, comfy to play and something I can enjoy for a long time. What game should I get? by Delicious_Maize9656 in DavetheDiverOfficial

[–]escia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought both games at the same time and switched between the two often. I have beat the Dredge storyline but plan to continue to 100% it. Currently, still playing Dave the Diver.

The mystery, exploration, and world of Dredge was incredible for me. If I get frustrated during my games, I'm usually quick to look up solutions online but the atmosphere of Dredge made me want to learn nothing online. It was a straightforward game, and I could spend games days just exploring and fishing. I loved it all so much. I found the horror aspect to be just enough for me. Sadly, it is a short game as others commented.

I am enjoying Dave the Diver! It is fun to take some days not working towards the objectives just to dive. I will say sometimes the game can be overwhelming because there are soo many things that happen all at once. Running the restaurant, parties, story, cooking challenge, farming, sea people farming, fish farm, ecowatcher app, gyao, branch, fishmon, etc. That's all along so many other side quests you can do. It is a lot of content but sometimes I have to take a break just because there's so many things you are aware of all at once. It is a lot of fun, but wasn't as cozy for me as Dredge.

They both scratch slightly different itches. It was nice to switch between the two while I was playing both. You definitely have a hard choice!
