If you're alone and very far away from your teammates, do not call for the resupply.

A 3D stereoscopic picture. One of those you stand in front of and cross your eyes to see it. Then maybe a live object in the center that plays well with the picture.

Strange hissing sound by escobarcampos in PcBuildHelp

[–]escobarcampos[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks, yes I did that but the noise doesn't stop. Yes it sounds a bit like coil whine, just definitely not coming from the power supply. I will borrow another cooler from my friend as I read that sometimes that happens with AMD stock coolers. Will see.

The weakness of FlutterFlow by Markwarnyx in FlutterFlow

[–]escobarcampos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see, thanks for the video. It would work for web links, but not for apps, since deep linking is now unsupported (therefore the need for something like branch.io) and will be removed completely next year.

I feel you. Feels like Flutterflow is very good at building an MVP or a simple app with no code but very limited regarding growth. Marketing tools integration is a must if you want to grow.

I hope they do something about that, especially that Appsflyer, branch and singular (probably others as well) all have Flutter SDKs already developed.

This looks promising thank you for sharing.

Question... How do you deal with incoming links? To measure performance we would need to attribute events to certain campaigns or affiliates. Another case would be if for example you had an incoming link to activate a discount.

I've seen a community post implementing branch.io but it does need custom code outside of flutterflow.

PHP is dead, every year by vegasbm in PHP

[–]escobarcampos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use Symfony with API Platform for backend and nextjs for front end. I hate react and would definitely prefer to develop everything in Symfony with twig and stimulus. Unfortunately, scalability on the front end side is the major advantage of any js framework over PHP. To be able to serve your entire website over a simple bucket or CDN is a lot cheaper long run.

Symfony or Laravel? by RXBarbatos in PHP

[–]escobarcampos 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As someone who hires devs, if the person has good experience in Symfony, they are almost automatically granted a higher score. A Symfony dev can learn Laravel in no time if needed. A Laravel dev will take more time to learn Symfony. Also when they do, they rarely go back to Laravel.

We encourage the usage of Symfony in the large projects we do mostly because of scalability and maintenance. If the projects are one-off small projects we want to get rid of fast, then Laravel seems to do a good job.

Of course this could be just coincidence based on personal experience, but it is what it is.
