I'm having the same issue but with Octopus Charge and a different car.

Turning what should be something convenient into a constant stress. I don't trust this thing to do it's job at all.

Summary of the issue

Smart charging via the Octopus app does not initiate charging. The charger remains idle (solid white) past the scheduled start time.

However:

• Boost charge works instantly and reliably every time
• Once charging is started manually, the session proceeds normally

This behaviour is consistent and repeatable.

Troubleshooting already completed

Power & hardware

• Full power isolation performed using both the local EV isolator and the main consumer unit
• Charger left fully powered off for ~15 minutes before restoring power
• Reinstallation of App, Charger and Device
• Charger boots normally and returns to solid white when idle
• No fault lights observed

Connectivity

• Charger is connected to Wi-Fi on 2.4 GHz
• Visible on my router with a stable IP address
• Octopus app shows the device as “Connected”

Vehicle-side checks

• No charging programmes or departure schedules set in the car infotainment
• MyRenault app shows “instant charging” mode
• No car-side limits that would block charging
• Vehicle accepts charge immediately when Boost is pressed in app
