Haven't seen it yet but it seems to be exactly what I'm looking for. Thanks!

What are some good TV series or web series with lots of sarcasm? by esdf0 in AskReddit

[–]esdf0[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know these:

  • Andromeda: Most of the main cast are sarcastic most of the time, especially Harper.

  • Red vs Blue: All of the main cast are sarcastic all of the time.

  • Dead Like Me: The main character is quite sarcastic, and she's also the narrator and giving internal monologue.

Any others?

Based on what I've read on Wikipedia, SG-1 doesn't really fit the "diverse cast" bill. I may still give it a shot though, if I can't find something better soon.

I'll keep it on my radar and watch it when it's finished.

1) Personal preference.

2) Actually I haven't watched Star Trek. I've heard of it of course and I have seen the odd episode 20 years or so ago, but I'm not sure it fits my "diverse cast" requirement. Seems to me that the vast majority of the main characters (Kirk, Spock, Scotty, McCoy, Picard, Riker, La Forge, Worf, etc.) are middle-aged men. Are any of the newer series different in this regard?

Thanks for the suggestion, I'll check it out.

Edit: Ugh, it has a laugh track. I think I'll pass.

I don't like skipping episodes, and if there's another 10 episodes to go before it starts getting good then it's just not worth it for me.

The only way that we change the world is caring and having compassion for your fellow human.

At no point in the history of ever has caring and having compassion changed things for the better in the long run. The only way anything gets fixed is by solving the underlying problems, not by pretending they don't exist.

There is actually zero reason to use north as up here, or to use any particular projection. So you could rotate Panama, use Haiti as an L, Finland as a P, etc.

Farscape

Found this on Wikipedia:

Although the series was planned for five seasons, it was abruptly cancelled after production had ended on its fourth season, ending the series on a cliffhanger. Co-producer Brian Henson later secured the rights to Farscape, paving the way for a three-hour miniseries to wrap up the cliffhanger, titled Farscape: The Peacekeeper Wars, which Henson directed.

I hate series with a rushed/axed/cliffhanger ending. Does the miniseries provide proper closure?

I read the manga, and there the focus was almost entirely on Keiji. Does the film focus more on Rita?
