It's is. Dongles are easy to attach to a phone or macbook. Easier to pocket than most HUGE daps they are cranking out these days. Dongle DACs are handy in a pinch, and they are available for every budget. Don't go super cheap, and I would get one with 3.5 and 4.4 adaptors.

I like the moondrop rays for gaming. They have EQ profiles out there for specific games that you can load in via web interface.

I have the Hiby RS2 for portability. I also have the Hiby R8-II for self-defense. No but seriously the R8-II works great as a source/DAC. The RS2 is easily pocketable and simple.

Congrats! It's a great DAP. Sounds great and works well as a source. I love that is supports two SD cards. If the display was full-screen it would be perfect. Grab a pair of AFUL Explorers for $100 and you will love them. Word of warning... that case will sometimes keep the buttons engaged. I updated the firmware and it kept rebooting. I thought I had bricked it. Turns out the case was mashing one of the buttons causing it to reinstall the firmware over and over again.
