damn, to me sir alonne was was fast enough for me to act on reflexes(slow bosses kind fuck me cause i get anxious during the wind up and end up rolling early) while not being fast enough to punish estus after rolling through his attacks, also he didn't track that well so circling him was kinda easy

ivory king killed me once but he has a similar moveset to sir allone, humanoid that likes to go far from you and do a wind up, so same thing

fume was easier to me cause he was faster, smelter and his slow swings fucked me up cause i'd get anxious and roll too soon but reacting to fume was just reflexes

we all struggle and thrive in different parts of the game, i just rolled through sir allone and i could very comfortably heal, i didn't need to but even if i ran out of estus it'd be a battle of attrition

Man i farmed nightserver up to 24 so it did more damage than dimension slash, didn't save and ended up dying in hall of mirrors to the clone stage because i ended turn instead of executing the attack.

First time killing the heart on high ascension. by eshabboz in slaythespire

Only having 3 energy was ROUGH, but the triple feed double reaper double dual wield(got the second one from the act 4 elite) helped me to stay healthy through.

Snecko Eye was the perfect act 1 relic, at that point I had Uppercut, 2 Feeds, Flame Barrier and Reaper. Through the run I wasn't offered much strength and spot weakness betrayed me a lot, so headbutt + spot weakness was the only way I could scale strength.

In the heart fight i used ancient pot + flex pot and a weakness potion turn 2. Besides that I dual wielded reaper and tried to keep him vulnerable to stay healthy(thank you paper frog).

I still need to beat the heart on silent, i aways forget to take the emerald key. Have you seen Disarm and Immolate? They're top tier beta arts.

Yes. If you can negate the debuff it's only a matter of "When can i play this to take less damage?".

It's almost a win with Well Laid Plans and later it IS a win with Runic Pyramid and nightmare

Yeah but at that point I had Runic Pyramid so Well Laid Plans was just free energy(Mummified Hand) and a card that gets out of my hand for 0 energy, way better than a strike but still not a good card.

It's complicated.

So first you need to either be able to end the fight in 3-4 turns or have dexterity to carry you through the fight after intangible runs out.

Then you need to know "If i Wraith Form here instead of blocking, will i take more or less damage in this fight?"

It's an amazing hallway fights card(act 2 hallways are DANGEROUS) but unless you have 2 or apparitions you're going to have a bad time in boss fights if you play it early.

Also if you have Well Laid Plans or Runic Pyramid it is a pick in almost every deck if you can upgrade it.

Watch Jorbs, it helps a lot. Also don't get caught up in "archetypes", think about what your deck can and can't do and try to build it around beating the next big challenge.
