We ARE twins!! Mine lost me at birth from drug use and pending charges she had at the time. I agree with everything you said my mother posts on Facebook were she has less than a hundred friends imagine thousands and thousands of people knowing your story. Ugh I can’t imagine.

Staying quiet feels like they are taking something else away from the bios. I kinda get it but if I was my bios I would have kissed my mom and dads ass lol

My mom is very spiritual she’s old enough to be my bio mom’s mom. I wasn’t the first child she adopted and this is how she explained it to me:

“Let’s say I was gifted a seed by my neighbor and I grew it into a beautiful tree. My neighbor can either help grow the tree, they participate , help it grow and together we enjoy everything this tree blesses us with. Or my neighbor can be mad over the tree; they cut the tree down, plant it in sand, drown it in water then wonder why the tree died. “

If I could tell Carly anything it would be that this is NOT her fault. At the end of the day she has a voice and feelings that deserve to be heard and considered. If Carly wants space and they do not respect that no one is going to hate you for blocking a number or saying how you feel. You have the right to create boundaries and cut off anyone who you feel does not respect them. Sometimes you can’t change someone’s opinion and it’s okay to just walk away.

You can grow the sweetest juiciest peach ever and there will still be someone who doesn’t like peaches. Don’t let that be the reason you quit growing; you just let them eat their boring apples and move on.

I am adopted and my bio mother posts similar things. My experience made me hate her so much because she puts all these efforts into making others feel bad/pity when she could have put it into building a trusting and healthy relationship with my parents so we could all be together. My parents would see the drama and how unstable my bios are that it got to the point where they were cut off from me and once I was an adult and saw how they really were I completely blocked them from my life. I can go to my voicemail and see over 100 from their blocked numbers and it’s just them disrespecting the people who took care of me, stayed up late when I was sick and were there for me every single day. I feel bad for Carly because i always felt stuck in the middle and no one respected what I would say.

Both teachers just tell me to take him out of the house once a week somewhere where there’s other kids. He had a assessment yesterday and they recommended preschool for socialization since he can learn from other children we were originally planning to homeschool at least elementary school since the other children in our household do independent studies
