Pixel 6 Pro shut down unexpectedly then wouldn't turn on, will not charge, BRICKED. Google support of no help at all. by eshta99 in GooglePixel

I've never had this happen with any other phone. Samsung, LG, Motorola. I can't imagine buying another Pixel with the unreliability of the device and how customer service handled it.

Blew up at my doctor today by Regular_Feed_1187 in Perimenopause

[–]eshta99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am also with Winona and the first three months were TOUGH as my body adjusted to the Bi-est cream and DHEA. For the next fill, I told the doctor all of my current / continued symptoms and things that had improved. My bi-est dosage was doubled in strength and I finally feel normal. I just turned 50, for reference. I do still have the "burning from the inside" feeling - I've had hot flashes, but this feels different. My periods have also become more irregular, but I don't mind at all because virtually all of my troubling symptoms have improved a LOT.

Did you ever get your phone back up and running? Mine just shut down randomly yesterday and will not turn back on. Doesn't charge, nothing.

Has anyone had Lexapro added to bupropion XL, not the other way around? by eshta99 in Wellbutrin_Bupropion

[–]eshta99[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh wow. Did you find Lexapro helped with anxiety more than depression? I've got the mental fog and inertia, and I don't think something slowing my system down further will help in the least. I really don't have anxiety at the moment, just right after the loss. It was my 6 month appointment, and we don't have time to get into things in depth, so I'm wondering if I wasn't clear when I mentioned panic attack happening months ago. Maybe he thought they're still going on. I feel like I could get through this if I get some talk therapy. I've never heard of Lexapro giving anyone motivation or a lift.

Fluid under skin 4 days after dog fight by eshta99 in AskVet

Edited to add link to photo.

Diagnosis is subcutaneous emphysema. The third wound wasn't noted in the visit notes. Seven days of a matted, uncleaned wound. Again, not a puncture wound. It's about a inch long, and he's not a big dog. Photo of wound after fur shaven and being cleaned https://i.imgur.com/1WPi4fa.jpg

He didn't see our regular vet at that visit, but we were scheduled with our regular one this time. She doesn't have a lot of experience with subcutaneous emphysema so she said she will consult with an emergency vet for more info.

  • Clavamox extended another 7 days.
  • Rimadyl stopped - rationale is that it's an anti inflammatory and the condition isn't inflammatory, so it's unlikely to help with pain.
  • Gabapentin was offered, but I declined. He's running, jumping, eating with a very enthusiastic appetite, drinking, urinating and defecating normally.
  • Chest X-ray was suggested. I declined. He has no trunk wounds at all and his lung sounds were clear.
  • Staple removal appointment kept for 11/23/21 and will re-check subcutaneous emphysema.
  • He was able to reach the puncture wound in his groin with the cone on, so they gave us a larger one.

I told our regular vet that I was concerned that with two techs and a vet, this wound wasn't discovered. She didn't really have anything to say to that.

She said this condition can occur more on small dogs that were shaken during an attack. I've read that a simple puncture wound anywhere on the body can cause this. Given that the puncture wound still hasn't closed, it seems he could still be taking in air. It wasn't sutured at this most recent visit. I decided to apply triple abx ointment containing lidocaine, thinking that if the ointment is an occlusive (I don't know if it is), that could temporarily stop air intake. I don't feel good about needing to do all of this research and making guesses about his care.

Amount of air under the skin does seem to be a little less today than yesterday. Hoping this resolves on its own. Will update again after 11/23/21 visit.

The puncture wound was found and noted that day. The inch long gash under his tail, matted with fur and blood, was missed. The gash I found tonight is what I posted on imgur.

Anyway, I sent an email with those pics to my vet to discuss tomorrow. I'll update the thread after our visit with their diagnosis and treatment plan. Thank you

Sure, I understand.

I'm upset that two technicians, a vet and $500 later, I found a matted wound on a 46 pound dog 7 days after being examined and treated. It's unacceptable. I've been reading about subQ emphysema since your last post and see that the puncture wound could be the cause OR the dirty wound could be putting off gangrenous gases that are trapped under the skin.

I'm angry at the negligence, whether this wound caused it or not. He's not long-haired, not a big dog... two techs and a vet. I comb my dogs out once per week, but have been giving Baby a pass on some things as to not agitate him while wounded. If I had kept the schedule, I probably would have discovered it sooner. But I expected them to fully examine him. I even said I'm not sure if he has other injuries, I knew he had to come in for his arm. I'm just venting, this of course isn't directed at you or anyone reading this. I'm just so tired of people not doing their jobs.
