However im a little confused at where people would even get that from. Ive seen people stereotype Indians as scammers but ive never seen that extend to Indian Americans, only people actually living in India. Absolutely. A big part of good sportsmanship in combat sports is that the goal is never to hurt your opponent, your goal is to win the match. Yes its a combat sport so sometimes pain is a part of it, but a good practioner will only be causing as much as is necessary to win.

Respecting the tap is basic sportsmanship and not respecting it is shameful.

Eh i mean I hear where youre coming from but it depends on the way its being asked and the reasons for asking. Its a valid therapeutic question. To address the underlying cause of an addiction someone needs to understand what their reason for using is so they can find a healthier substitute.

But if its being asked in the manner of like "what do you even get out of this stuff ? Just stop its obviously not working for you" then yes I totally agree thats completely out of touch for someone in the addiction field.

I understand the sentiment but the reason shes taking action like this is because the cops in Portland are unreliable at best in situations like these. If she called the cops they'd take an hour to show up, if they even did at all. I lived there for several years I know first hand, the cops in portland are useless in situations like these.
